Hi all I recently bought the Oxford to Bicester add on from Just Trains as I already have the Great Western Mainline for TS2022 on Steam, however it comes up with the error below, and I can't find any folder that says Western Mainline anywhere. This is my first attempted install from a non-Steam add-on, can someone please give me a step-by-step guide? Thank you in advance.
The Great Western Mainline from Steam is a Dovetail Games product. In order to use this expansion you need the Western Mainlines route from Just Trains (https://www.justtrains.net/product/western-mainlines). These are two different products
EGTESkygod. Before purchasing Western Mainlines, can I suggest you wait for a sale. Just Trains normally have a sale in April and as Easter is just around the corner you may get a tasty discount. Western Mainlines and Midland Mainlines are two they generously discount in every sale and also on weeks when they stream them. Not good for me as I have them and the products I would like them to discount never happen. Standard Class 5MT, DT Class 40 and Atlantic High Speed TGV route never appear to be discounted.
Thank you for that, I'll keep an eye out. Would love the section between Crewe and Liverpool Lime Street too at some point.
Oh, really? That's good... Sorry, I'm not across what is available and what's coming up, do you have some more info?
Liverpool - Crewe is one of the stages of the Missing Link - Birmingham - Preston/Liverpool Search for the info on ATS
Sorry, what is ATS? I'm kinda new to Train Sim, more of a Flight simmer. I have seen it is done as a third party thing, from nwp1's post it sounded like there was a specific route coming out?
ATS is a name for a Third Party website that sells Train Simulator DLC. It stands for "Alan Thomson Simulation" I'm pretty sure.
Hi EGTESkyGod Just to let you know there is a Just Trains Western Mainline complete collection bundle, which will give you the entire route down to Penzance. Just Trains - Western Mainlines: The Complete Collection Also, both JT Western Mainline and the complete bundle, is quite heavy on the DLC requirements that you will require to enjoy the scenarios. With Just Trains you get JT reward points which come in handy that you can redeem on DLC you may wish to purchase.
The Liverpool - Crewe line you wish to drive is released on ATS as part of the Missing Link https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/west-coast-mainline-midlands-and-northwest-aka-missing-link/ There are a number of requirements though along with a subscription @ £33 On TSW2 which is a different game they are doing Liverpool - Crewe but set in Steam Days
