I believe adding this loco to the game would allow the appropriate routes such as the pacific surf liner, to maintain longevity on the aging routes. The f59phi on the Pacific Surf liner was retired and phased out in favor of the charger locomotive. The surf liner route is now lacking a currently in service locomotive to operate. In addition, the empire builder route now operates this locomotive. PLZ ADD IT DOVETAIL ILL PAY ANYTHING
I too would welcome a Siemens Charger and I bet DTG has this all duly noted. Would be great to see this compliment the Amfleet replacements (cannot remember the name of the replacement coaches) but would make a nice pack for DLC anyway.
I certainly back this suggestion; a great Amtrak engine and it would be nice to get some current modern engines from North America.
We have the Pacific Surfliner, so the Surfliner SC44 would be perfect. We also have Stevens Pass, Marias Pass, and Montana High-Line so an Amtrak ALC-42 Charger with the Empire Builder would be a great DLC pack. Perhaps we will see ALC-42s on other Amtrak long-distance passenger trains in the next few years.
