The head locomotive plays no sounds DPU locos play no sounds MUs (on the front of the consist) play sound? Restaring the game sometimes helps BR o7
Sometimes the locos doesn't start it self. I tried to restart the engine by switching the isolation switch to start and pressing engine start button.
The lead locos play sound to begin with but if you go to rear locos and back to front the engine sound stops working altogether and the rear locos don't play engine sounds at all yet another botched release I cant play this route it is so emersion braking is the audio. How it got passed qa is anyone's guess shame on you skyhook/dtg. On series x
I am having the same issue with the sound, yesterday it was the DPU that had no sound and the lead engine after notch 3 would cut out. Most of the passing trains don't have prime mover sounds as well, its kind of up in the air as some of the lead units have no sound and the DPU does, others vise versa and some that have no prime mover sounds at all. Today none of my units have sound past notch 3, I have seen reply's to the red light issues with a few services, but I hope the sound issue will be acknowledged and fixed as well. I would consider this a big game breaking bug as I cant run a service without the prime mover sounds. I have restarted the game as well as verified the files and removed any mods but the issue still persists. If anyone knows a fix, or has heard from Skyhook about a fix in the works I would appreciate knowing. (this issue is only with the ES44 so far, no issues with the GP38-2 for me) platform- Steam
Ya it's pretty much random which of the es44's have sound, and they'll change while playing to, and it seems that having 3 engines in a row only the first two will have audio
Would like to update those who are on PC, since we haven't heard anything back from Skyhook so far. There is 2 mods on Train Sim Community that fixes the horn and puts the flange squeal back in the rolling stock (don't know why they would remove this...) The important thing is that it has seemed to fix the prime mover sounds in the ES44ac, for me at least, you can find them here. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world-2/c20-sounds Seems like US stuff never actually gets the love other routes get, yeah we have routes but I feel like they always have visual issues, and they always have sound issues. Peninsula Corridor is the only one that got really good recorded sounds but since its move to "preserved collection" there have been nothing but sound issues, such a shame.
