A while back someone made a mod that activates PIS screens on the Great Western, it also included a timetable mod that made the route feel much busier. It's nicely done. Does anyone know if there's a similar mod out there for LIRR?
Well LIRR already has working PIS screens officially. Sadly, nothing regarding the timetable. You may already know this, but apparently there is a much busier timetable made by the devs themselves, but it's not released as the current ATC can't cope with it. So unless the ATC gets fixed on LIRR, we will not have a busies timetable for the route. My only hope is that the upcoming Harmel Line may give them the push to also work on LIRR as well, considering the two routes are similar in many aspects. After all, fixing LIRR and giving it a new timetable would almost be like a new release, considering how dead the route is now. And it would open up the possibility of other loco add-ons for the route, like the M9 or the diesels. Well it ever happen? I don't know, but I keep hoping, as LIRR is one of my favorite routes, but the current timetable doesn't give it justice.
Yeah the PIS on LIRR look nice. My hope was just for a timetable mod, because apparently it's possible. But if the signaling can't handle more trains then that's a different issue. Admittedly, I don't know if LIRR and Metro North use the same cab signaling system, but if they do maybe the research done for the Harlem Line could be applied to LIRR
I sure hope they’ll add a new lirr Branch with a new locomotive like the port Jefferson Branch or Babylon Branch.
You seem to talk about the Babylon Branch alot. It would be nice to see it though but it probably won't happen
