This suggestion is about a route from Carlisle to Glasgow Central. This route would be around 90 miles and would take around an hour and 15 minutes to complete. This route would contain 12 stops (Carlisle and Glasgow Central excluded).

The twelve stops in this route covering 90 miles of track would be the following:

    - Gretna Green
    - Annan
    - Dumfries
    - Sanquhar
    - Kirkconnel
    - New Cumnock
    - Auchinleck
    - Kilmarnock
    - Kilmaurs
    - Stewarton
    - Dunlop
    - Barrhead

This route would be operated by ScotRail and would have 2 different types of rolling stock. These would be the Class 156 Super Sprinter and Class 318.

To be honest, I don't know if the Class 318 goes to any of these stations I just included it so the Class 156 Super Sprinter wasn't alone lol.

It would have some nice landmarks such as the Carlisle Castle and Glasgow Cathedral. This would be pretty awesome to see these in game.

I am aware not all of this is accurate and some trains may not run on some lines, I added them with mental knowledge and no research. Therefore I apologise in advance if any of the facts, statements or opinions I have mentioned are wrong.

The route might be a bit too long

The Class 318 would only appear at Glasgow Central, as the Glasgow Southwestern Line (Glasgow - Carlisle) isn't electrified. There's also 19 stations, 17 if we don't include Glasgow and Carlisle:

    Glasgow Central
    Crossmyloof
    Pollockshaws West
    Kennishead
    Preisthill & Durnley
    Nitshill
    Barrhead
    Dunlop
    Stewarton
    Kilmaurs
    Kilmarnock
    Auchinleck
    New Cumnock
    Kirkconnel
    Sanquar
    Dumfries
    Annan
    Gretna Green
    And Carlisle

However, despite the length of the route, it's quite a rural one, and so the relatively low amount of towns - plus the ability to reuse scenery and assets from Cathcart Circle - makes it possible. However, I think it's more likely we'd see the route cut at Kilmarnock or Dumfries with the East Kilbride branch thrown on.
