They hold their Christmas sale during the big winter sale on Steam. Competition isn't a thing in sales. Unless you mean competition in trying to get people to empty wallets on your site instead. In which case maybe they are waiting for the sale on Steam to be near to jump in front of it. Coincidentally, people buying the packs may at times have to then get something in the Steam sale, so it's smart of them.
With the Queen’s Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend due on Thursday June 2nd to Sunday June 5th, there maybe a few sales during this period too, we will know in a few weeks time.
AP sales are usually in April, August, and December. Unless they are cutting to two big sales a year (bad move IMO), they would not be doing anything in June.
Correction. AP sales are usually at Christmas, Easter and the August bank holiday. The fact they haven’t had one at Easter this year means that this predictability is broken and when the next one is is anyone’s guess. Could be May, could be June, could be August.
Easter hasn't been in March since 2016, and that year they appeared to run the sale on they May Day bank holiday weekend. https://www.facebook.com/armstrongpowerhouse/posts/1267505583277578
Thats a great bit of detection Andy. Seems like it will be over the weekend prior to the May Bank Holiday on the 2nd.
For those people wanting some Belgium content SK Trains have a Sale https://sktrains.be/en/ Slightly confusing as some products are shown twice with the lower price further down the page.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't have any Belgian routes themselves? Where exactly would we run their trains, to give possibly interested people an idea?
Think of them more like AP where they build Rolling Stock but not routes - AP does have Wherry Lines but no good for electrics If you want a Belgium Route then you have to go Freeware The emu is a reskin of a RSSLO Austrian EMU and the Electric loco is from Chris Trains The route is District Sud Ouest Belgique
There are a few developers that make locos and stock without any route to use them on Chris Trains - NS Sim Express - SNCF SK Trains - NMBS Virtual Railroads - DB & DR
ChrisTrains and Virtual Railroads are definitely two I am familiar with. I do not know the other two that well.
Sim Express have a Sale with with some items reduced until 15th May These are complicated locos but they have a quick setup feature https://www.simexpress.fr/locomotives/?lang=en
Woodhead Electric Railway in Blue - GamersGate - £5.16 (near it's historic low of £5.02) https://www.gamersgate.com/product/train-simulator-woodhead-electric-railway-in-blue-route-add-on/?aff=0c8572c286145f07e7903dee1650f54778ae9149 West Rhine: Köln - Koblenz - Fanatical - £4.49 http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-630544...imulator-west-rhine-koln-koblenz-route-add-on
Just a reminder that the RSSLO sale finishes later tonight at 10.59pm GMT. For those looking forward to more sales, sometime towards the end of next week Steam will start their spring sale and it should coincide with sales from Just Trains and Armstrong Powerhouse.
Are you sure there is a Steam spring sale? The next sale is roguelike specific https://steamdb.info/sales/history/ I mean you can play TS on Ironman mode (SPADs = game over) but roguelike might be pushing it.
Yes Andy, I believe there will be a Steam sale towards the end of next week but I do not know whether there will be Train Sim content on sale. I didn’t buy anything this time last year so maybe not, but there may not have been anything I wanted. I noted the date last year and as I didn’t note no TS content I assume their was some. I did make some purchases on April 19th last year at the start of their spring sale so that could be the reason. It is unlike Steam not to have an April sale with TS or TSW content. The only sale I will be really buying in is the AP sale where I need the Class 317.
There are a number of other TS Add-ons for Sale on both Gamersgate and Fanatical Not sure why you need to go via jdoqocy.com - just click bait.
There are 3 and a bit pages of add-ons for TS Classic https://uk.gamesplanet.com/search?page=1&query=Train+Simulator
New DTG flash sale has begun. https://store.dovetailgames.com/uk/sale Also on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/sear...&specials=1&publisher=Dovetail+Games+-+Trains
Good news, curiously enough, North Wales Coast Line route is on sale on DTG site but not on Steam... Others UK routes/locos seems the same.
I often found some of these websites quote the wrong prices and then give a discount, so, you might think you're getting a good deal, but, you aren't. For example, on Gamesplanet, they have the Norfolk Southern N Line down as £24.99 with 50% off, where in reality on Steam the same route is now actually only £17.99, so, it would be wiser to wait for a Sale on Steam to obtain that particular route. Always check these websites for prices against Steam and DTG's shop before purchasing anything. Cheerz. Steve.
They are t On the contrary, that is their price because they are trying to make money off of the service of people being too lazy to go to Steam directly to buy. In the end, their "discount" is still a savings, but not a good one. Of course, you have to know how to find the best deals, even if they aren't on Steam.
This is one site for checking prices and also tells you the lowest price it was sold at - Gives an idea what it could be at in a Sale https://isthereanydeal.com/
It's an abbreviation invented by CowBoyWolf. German Federal Railways' abbreviation and logo was DB, as given in the link he provided. The current railway is Deutsche Bahn, also abbreviated DB.
In other words a complete fabrication. When the railways in Germany were split following WW2 they became DB and DR, Deutsche Bundesbahn (note lower case second b) and Deutsche Reichsbahn. There has never been a DBB in Germany. Following unification of the railways in 1991 DB and DR became DBAG and carried those initials. Now the initials DB are carried (Deutsche Bahn). History is history, let’s leave it to the Russians to re-invent it.

Hoping against hope that AP will have a bank holiday sale this weekend considering they didn't have one over Easter.
RSSLO ÖBB1063 €10.50 today only. https://www.rsslo.com/product/obb-1063/ Still waiting for an AP sale. Cannot remember an April without an AP sale. If not this weekend perhaps there will be one at the end of May BH or for the Jubilee weekend in June.
One can only hope the lack of a sale isn't part of the "price increase" strategy. The fact remains in my case: I have enough to use as it is, and if they don't want to take the time to make something a price - even for a short time - that matches the contents inside, I won't buy anything that remains as such overpriced. For instance. the 37 has a lot of liveries, but is only worth 25 pounds (we're talking roughly the cost of a route after currency conversion) if it's something you use in virtually everything you play. But 40% off, I got both packs. It turns out, by this point, I got both sets for about what one normally costs, and by that point, the number of liveries is something you can't really say no to, plus the second pack has the 37/0 format which harks back to the 70s and fits nicely on the original ECML (route 00000003). Was actually one of my first AP buys, as well, since it easily covers the RSC 37 (though I suspect some numbering modifications might be needed during swaps in some cases given the number of parameters present). I know the 150 has a different numbering format, but if you take the time to fix those in swaps, it easily replaces the Oovee model. So yup, those were easy buys on sale.
From what I read about the current sale somewhere, this one is primarily to showcase Asian developers and game houses. So unless DTG are putting their small number of Japanese routes on a discount, looks like nothing of interest for TSC or TSW.
Sorry John typing error I meant the ÖBB not the SZ. Steam had a Midweek Madness sale last year May 25th-28th 2021. I bought a few locomotives in it.
Union Workshop Japanese routes would fit, but if they aren't considered an Asian developer, then yeah, no.
The new Glasgow Subway route has been released with a 25% discount on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/...gow_Subway_Route_AddOn/?curator_clanid=958135
That’s old news Blazin, it’s been mentioned in various threads on different forums, but fresh off the press Salzburg-Muhldorf route 40% April 30th-May1st https://www.rsslo.com/product/salzburg-muhldorf-route/
Sorry, I saw it on the steam store and my first thought was to add it to the thread without checking other posts first which was a bit silly of me, sorry about that.
