From DC Union Station south. That way they just need to make a route and one new engine. Something simple, and would also include a small section of freight service. Last time I road by just north of Ashland, VA (4/9/22), there was a local with a Chesie system bay window caboose, nine the less, doing some switching.

I'm not too familiar with the DC route but that sounds nice as well, I was thinking union station & it's rail Yard with a route like the California Zephyr,Texas Eagle or South West chief those would be real nice with the superliner coaches

Maybe even shorter routes too like the Michigan blue water for smaller trains

I’d like to see a P42 locomotive, we already have Amfleet coaches which would be appropriate for the Pennsylvanian on HSC. I’d love to see Superliner coaches to run on SPG. If they create that one locomotive they could add Amtrak service to almost any US class 1 route. It would be nice to be able to operate the long haul passenger services on these routes. It would be a new nit of fun to be able to operate at Passenger vs Freight speed over these routes.

I would love to see superliners run on spg that would add so much to it. it would be nice to have multiple routes from union station in Chicago along with it's railyard for switching would be perfect but that just may be asking for too much lol Siemens Chargers along with the p42s would be a plus but I definitely prefer p42s

Superliners don't typically run on the Capitol Limited.

I believe P42s run most of Amtrak's routes except for a few and the Siemens Charger is phasing the p42 out

I thought only the Auto train used the Superliners on the east coast.

Viewliner's are pretty much used on every other Amtrak East Coast route minus the Auto Train and the Capitol Limited due to clearance issues at New York Penn and Baltimore Penn. However every modern Amtrak train that uses a baggage car currently uses Viewliner II Baggage Cars.

Either way I think if I had a choice I would pick the superliners or surfliners over the viewliners. It would be nice to have a California route too from union station in LA
