I'm fairly confident this has been reported on numerous occasions. Just running the dept move scenario on the Munchen route (Chapter 3 of journey). Someone has left passengers in the train all night again.

Yet bizarrely all of the passengers on my GatEx service have left at Gatwick Airport and nobody wants to go on to London Victoria :|

I've done research on Gatwick Express and I feel like the service seems a bit redundant and somewhat of a scam mainly for tourists to pay a higher fare to get to Victoria a few minutes earlier than a southern service. The class 387 certainly isn't suitable for a "airport shuttle" since it lacks alot of places to put luggage. The first class seems like a joke to be honest. Also wouldn't it be better to take Thameslink since that also goes to central london but to places in which you can connect to more london underground lines and national rail routes as well? Not to mention that the class 700s seem to have decent sized luggage racks and is much cheaper. So who can really blame passengers for not wanting to take a gatwick express train :)

I thought it had been stated previously that there was a solution developed for this, yet it still does not seem to of appeared ingame.

DTG say alot of things, but frankly it's best to see it for yourself before thinking it's true.

It is in game for the newer routes - certainly anything post Rush Hour. The solution is a specific “unload all” instruction and as such does not apply to older routes. Their timetables have to be updated manually to change the last instruction from “unload” to “unload all.”

I've noticed this on Peninsula Corridor too, trains parked in the San Jose maintenance area full of people. Good to know there is a fix at least somewhere in the pipe.

The original Gatwick Express was a dedicated non stop shuttle every 15 minutes, utilising Class 73’s and Mark 2 air con stock, with a motor luggage van on the London end to act as a driving car in the Up Direction. It was never integrated with the BR/Connex services to Brighton or anywhere else.

387/2s have considerably more luggage storage than any other Electrostar, and a small amount more than a 700. The Gatwick Express is just an airport shuttle, it takes the traffic off of standard services and is pretty well used irl.

All I want is passengers on my train on the LGV route, how that route still operates with no passengers on the TGV is one of the 8 wonders of the world!!!

SNCF must haemorrhage money on that route.

The irony is that IRL the Paris-Marseilles TGV is the only one that doesn't lose money.

Some routes have already been updated with this feature, some have not. If I recall correctly Bakerloo already has empty depot runs.

I've noticed on the Munchen route too you'll see on the evening services BR 423 stabled with the PIS as "not in operation" or whatever it is along the mainline with the lights on a load of abandoned passengers sat there.
