Hi! I am driving Class 313 on East Coastway. Every now and then I have penalty braking for seemingly no reason.
Is that tpws? Despite braking it still feels I am going too quick?

Here is screenshot though I don't think it has any significant info.

Turn the DSD/DVD off. It has no audio because it's not meant to be there.

Ok, but I try to drive as realistically as possible with ASW/ DSD on.
And now again. 70 miles/hour section miles away from the next 60 mph restriciton, not overspeeding.
    Bug?

The real thing doesn't have DVD (it had DSD, which is the pedal, but not the beepy thing, which is what's triggering the E-brake) - someone put it in for some reason, and they sort of half took it out by removing (or not adding) the audio but leaving everything else. It's a bug, but the bug is that it has DVD.

I see, so the realistic way is to turn it off:) Thank you for your help.

I have completed around 10-15 runs with the Class 313. I fear I don't really understand the brake system .Sometimes it is smooth and brakes the train slowly, sometimes it is very strong and quick. What is the logic here?

Did you turn off the dynamic brakes?

No, I didn't. Should I? I thought the default setting is on.

As far as I’m aware (someone correct me if I’m wrong), the dynamic brakes are turned off in real life. In TSW, they seem to cause erratic brake behaviour just like you’re describing.

Never messed around with it. I imagine it starts in on and I'd leave it there.
