I know this post is from last year, but has DTG made any announcement or comment on how they intend to resolve the issue? Driving the 377 this morning, I found the flickering so distracting that I ended up turning the game off. Similarly, the flickering sunflower on the class 43 is preventing me from driving it anymore. I don't like oddities distracting my periphery when driving and it's immersion breaking. Thanks
forgot this was a thing now (the thread) , haven’t heard anything ever, even products released to this day you find this issue on.
The trouble seems to be overlapping textures where an item has been placed so close to another that the surfaces intersect. An old problem that should be reasonably easy to avoid at the design stage, but would require tweaking of the meshes to fix retroactively.
The partly solved it with an patch for the Bremen DLC. I have some of these problems on my PC. It's seems that older videocards have more issues with Z-fighting than newer cards. But the problem is caused by a texture layer in the model indead, in the game the system is having a conflict wich texture it should put on front.
Just found this thread right after I made comments on the exact same issue: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...ith-text-in-cab-of-377-xsx-but-not-ps5.64662/ I just got a XSX a few weeks ago and (against my better judgement) bought some of the same DLC I already own on PS5. Today playing London commuter I noticed right away in the 377 all kinds of flickering with the labels in the cab. It only happens when moving. The interesting part is the exact same train/lighting/service on PS5 and it does NOT happen. I’ve never seen a similar issue with hours playing on the PS5, at least not with this loco. I do remember seeing some stuff with the ATC screen on the Boston F40 I think. That said the FPS/performance are noticeably better on the XSX vs PS5 on London Commuter.
Just wondering… there’s some pretty exhaustive listing of the issue here in this thread… has anyone actually submitted a ticket to DTG about it? I’m not sure if anyone actually reads this forum but they do action tickets (at least add things to the list to get looked at)…
Windscreen on the SEHS 395 suffers with a intermittent white flicker. It looks like for a couple of seconds you've drove through fog. Platform: PC, MS Store
I had a try before but I couldn’t work out how to do video uploading/sharing to their support from an xbox I’ve now worked out how today and have just submitted ticket for the Acela flickering, I offered to do the other occurrences in the ticket which I believe are related to this issue, I’ll await for a response to proceed.
