Hi, there is a scenario where 3 GP-38s are connected as lead and none as trail in Peninsula Corridor, I think it is called Dirty Dirt Drive? I have never came across this configuration before, only had experience with 2 lead - 2 trail. Could someone please help me how to set them up correctly? I tried in different ways, some seemed ok, but I am interested in the real life set up.
Nothing really different from setting up two units. Lead Control, fuel pump, generator field to on Reverser inserted MU-2A valve in “lead or dead” Auto brake cut in (freight) Radio on Trail 1 Control, fuel pump, generator field to off Reverser removed MU-2A valve in “trail 6 or 26” Auto brake cut out Radio off Trail 2 Control, fuel pump, generator field to off Reverser removed MU-2A valve in “trail 6 or 26” Auto brake cut out Radio off I think all of the GP38-2 services on SFJ running (almost) the entire line use a 3 unit lash-up.
