Recalling Messages

I am just back to running TSC regularly after a turn at TSW 2. I really enjoy this sim more. Often when a message pops up on the screen, it will clear before I finish reading it. Is there some way to recall these messages so that I can finish reading them? Thanks for the help.

Sometimes there is an icon sitting on the top of the F4 HUD to do this if not AFAIK there is no way to recall a message.

 

This is the scenario creator's choice.

Ticking these boxes will store the messages, you can click on the letter icon in the HUD to review them.

There is an alternative, which I often use because reasons. When the message appears, press Pause. It will stay until you dismiss it, or unpause and its time expires, including the time spent paused (possibly with a multiplier).
Apart from long messages I use it during scenarios when it would obscure something interesting to see.

 

Or activate "Auto Pause" in the settings. The game will automatically pause when a message is triggered.

 

Seriously, why have I never noticed that before...
