Why is there a 90km/h speed limit immediately followed by a 110km/h speed limit on Hamburg Lübeck whilst approximately 11km from Bad Oldesloe? The 90km/h limit doesn’t seem necessary. Is it there in real life?

This video shows that there is indeed a 90 km/h limit just for that bridge.

I think it is solely for the sharp bend at the entrance of Bargteheide station. It is there in real life and, in fact, a very steep decline from 160 km/h to 90 km/h.

If you are using PZB and you know that the speed reduction is coming, the trick is to be slower than 105 km/h already at the speed indicator "9". That way, the 1000 Hz magnet will not become active and you don't have to slow down to 85, 70 or even 55 km/h but rather can smoothly brake down to 90 km/h.

Well, the bend north of Bargteheide isn't that sharp, and the 90 kph speed limit does not apply there either.
That would be south of Bargteheide station, when the train passes a bridge (as stated by
Tomas9970, thx for the video btw).
You can check on the map at https://openrailwaymap.org.

But there is actually a section of track where the wrong speed limit applies in the game.
It's just north of Ahrensburg station for southbound trains. They have to reduce their speed to 100 kph, but this is not authentic.

Yes, the bend is directly south of Bargteheide. I think the question relates to northbound service (because then it would say "x km to Bad Oldesloe" on the HUD).
