Dtg Order: Pending Validation

What does this mean exactly? I just placed an order from the sale website, and was sent a validation code via SMS (Never had that before either) and now it says pending validation on the order page. It's been like this for hours. What is it validating? Paypal shows no issues, and I filled in the received SMS code... what gives? Anyone had this before? I've placed about 15 orders over the past 2 days and they all just went through and I got my Steam code. Is that the reason? Please tell me it's not waiting for an actual human to verify something and because it's Sunday I have to wait until tomorrow.

 

I've seen a few posts saying that they've ordered something and not got the codes etc

I love the whole leaves on the line thing, people get so irate and incensed about it, until that is you explain smooth steel wheels on a smooth steel rail with a layer of slippery slimy residue in between equals very little to no traction, and you expect that HST to slow and stop from 125mph, yeah, good luck with that, in fact if you're that confident stand on the track and see if it can perform an emergency stop in time.

Not saying you btw pooky, I'm sure you're just as wisened to the dangers of it, I'm on about joe public who scoff at the very notion of a singular leaf stopping (or more usually) just delaying a commuter service.

I can only assume Physics wasn't their strongest suit at school.

It often seems to me that rail was not only the single greatest idea of the modern age it was also the daftest.

 

No - it's a bus replacement service due to engineering works.

 

Personally, I stopped buying from the Dovetail store for this exact reason. Orders are processed in a very relaxed fashion. Just buy from Steam, at least you know you'll get it immediately. Curiously, AP and JT also offer immediate downloads. Just not DTG.

Yea, the verification thing happens sometimes. Usually only is a delay of 5 or 10 minutes, but I've had it upwards of an hour or two. Dovetail's store partner Scalefast is really a horrible experience, and after the nonsense with the Monster Sale, DTG need to drop them like a bad habit.

 

Agreed that the store is pretty bad, my most recent order only 2 of my 4 items came with codes, luckily Dovetail themselves supplied me with the other 2 via a support ticket.

because why on earth would you quote a dodgy link, giving people even more chances to click on it? just click the report button like wot I did (to yours and the original post) and the mods will remove it, or if you were trying to draw attention to it (a noble endeavour) at least remove the link!!
