There hasn’t been a lot of posts I’ve been able to find about which of all the electric locos can have pantographs so does anyone know which electric locos don’t work in the Boston route?
As far as I'm aware you can drive any train (off the rails) at any location regardless of whether or not they fit in the tunnels or require overhead power. The only restriction is length of train from the starting platform so there's a high likelihood you'll struggle to get the TVG to fit anywhere but everything else should be usable at Boston.
Are you sure? There are some services in Tharandter Rampe (Freiberg(Sachs) stabling), which require you to speed up, go on unelectrified track, stop at certain point and then roll down to Freiberg(Sachs) platform. When you're on unelectrified track, you can't add power (Those services are for 3-car DB BR 442, DB BR 1442 and DB BR 143+DB BR 766.2 (DoppelstockWagen))
He's referring to Scenario Editor setups with the Off The Rails box ticked. Regular services play by real-world rules.
