I bought Spirit of Steam yesterday and the first few Jubilee LMS Class locomotives I have driven are:
no. 45703 Thunderer (Introduction to Spirit of Steam)
no. 45721 Impregnable (Stanier Jubilee Class 6P Introduction)

Which locomotive did you drive or see first on Spirit of Steam, and was its name (and) number?

Pleasingly, my first run was with 45596 Bahamas, a loco which is preserved and I have seen in real life! :)

I regret that I do not recall the first but I have taken particular notice of the presence of my chances of seeing “MYSORE” Jubilee Class

…I was lucky enough to be familiar them in B.R. days, Hood, Keith, Keyes, Jutland, Ajax & others, the best though were The Leeds engines Sturdee & Hardy polished to perfection, yellow cabside stripe, one seen never forgotten

I'm sad that the other preserved Jubilees Leander, Galatea and Kolhapur aren't in the game (I can't remember the numbers off the top of my head). They would have been good for modern day railtour scenarios. It's great that Bahamas is there, but for modern scenarios it's inaccurate as the loco is now fitted with a double chimney.

As a side note, I'm surprised no one is talking about the fact that 45596 Bahamas will be starring in the new Railway Children film. Thought more people on here would be excited about that seeing as it's in TSW2.

…I’m guessing that the loco’s selected for the game were either Edge Hill or Crewe North engines at that period (1958), certainly Leander & Galatea were Bristol engines at this time & would have have been largely on the NE/SW Bristol/Glos./B’ham/Derby/Leeds route, Kolhapur ended up at Leeds I think but was allocated in Birmingham & Carlisle previously, so surely was seen at Crewe.
