I just recently learned about Dovetail Brewery, which was started by a couple of Chicago guys who met in Munich while studying for their Master Brewer licenses and found they had in common an appreciation for traditional European brewing methods.

I'm personally not a big beer guy, but it's a beautiful day and nothing else this weekend has gone right (really, since about lunchtime Friday), so I decided to check it out.

Bonus: Train action. The brewery is located on a stretch of Ravenswood Avenue with the CTA's Brown Line immediately to the west...

...and Metra's Union Pacific North Line immediately to the east.

As I say, not much of a beer guy, but I tried both the Smoked Helles and the Hefeweizen beers and found them perfectly fine.

Anyone else have a nearby Dovetail worth writing up?

In New Zealand we have a heritage rail operator called DTG, which stands for diesel traction group.

I remember doing dovetail joints in woodwork lessons at school. I don’t remember much else to be honest.

We have a nice flock of collared doves that frequent our field every morning and they all have tails.

There is a composer called Adrian Jack who wrote a piece called "Dovetail for Organ", not that I have ever played it. I stumbled across it recently on youtube.
