Tsw2 Steam. Horseshoe Curve, East Bound Train Altoona.

When beginning this scenario there is no green signal, only 2 reds. I have tried waiting & also contacting
control to no avail. Is this a bug or am I not doing something correctly. Many thanks for any help

I have the same. It is interesting that this flight cannot be made in travel mode, but in schedule mode this flight is two green and everything is fine.

Switch to schedule mode, select a locomotive and find the flight code in the schedule. (this is if you and I are discussing a flight with SD40, which does not start in the second section of the travel).

 

Thanks but that could be just about half of the available services - "East bound as far as Altoona" is a description and a lot of them say that.


Can you please give me the service number - this one is 294 for example, others here are 62E and 10K. They are also visible in the journey if you're doing them from there

Reading other threads, apparently this works fine in timetable mode. Haven't tried it yet!

 

I cannot complete in journey mode either. Doesn't seem to be anything else on line. I've waited half hour before. You can start in timetable mode but I kinda wanted to tick everything off

I've watched a couple of Youtube videos where they have a green, but maybe there not on PC format or something.

I could start this from Journey mode after the first update on the route, but since then it appears to have broke again as on trying this today got stuck on red

 

Sorry I'm only just getting back to this bobajob.nicholls I will try a run and if I can't get through it from journey mode I will put in a detailed report.

 

bobajob.nicholls you are definitely not doing anything wrong mate. It is firmly broken when started from journey mode. The train does not have a path (track highlighted blue on the map) - when started from service mode it has a path and the signal immediately clears to green\

It's a strange one, when it was first released this was borked in journey mode but could be completed from service mode. The first update addressed this and it was doable from journey mode. I wasn't aware that they'd done a 2nd update to the route but it is again borked so either some update to the core broke it again or there's been another update which broke it.

 

I do have some good news bobajob.nicholls in that if you complete 10K in service mode it is reflected in your journey with your medal visible, unfortunately you do not get the tick, as a work-around you can skip the service. Not as satisfying as seeing everything ticked, but you'll know you've done it all.
