I was browsing Youtube yesterday, watching some model railroading videos, when I came across this scene from Tony Koester's Nickel Plate Road layout (see below). I then spent the rest of the afternoon doing my best to recreate it in Train Simulator. There's still things I could tweak and improve on, but overall I'm very happy with how this turned out! The original video of Tony Koester's layout can be found here:
Penn Central SD35 & GP9 with a manifest on the Springfield Line: Springfield – New Haven — Part 1.
Penn Central SD35 & GP9 with a manifest on the Springfield Line: Springfield – New Haven — Part 2. I wasn't going to purchase this pack (Penn Central Pack 01), but I am really glad I did and am happy with the content so far. It is a great addition for me as I do really enjoy the Springfield Line and they will go great on others too.
It does look nice indeed. The locos seem a bit more of the same to me, but the wagons seem nice and colorful. The yellow boxcars seem to have quite the coupling distance, though, even competing with the basic Piko coupling and that's something I have three random and two fresh shots, hope you all enjoy them It's nice how after this many years of gradually expanding and immersing, I come across complementing content: #5 here but also with the vR packs earlier. I also found some surprises while setting up that scenario. 1) Acela-1 on the old Northeast Corridor section 2) Class 33 on sunny Weardale 3) Class 33 on an early, wet morning on the old Portsmouth Direct Line 4) Class 67 on the new Portsmouth Direct Line (note to torfmeister: I did lose two tanks by here, rare with these but happened) 5) Class 47 with a Rail Express Services mail train on the new Portsmouth Direct Line
I know I sure do enjoy viewing the many different screenshots and interesting content that folks post on this forum. I do agree, that the wagons do add alot to the package.
Agreed, a bit sad to see some folks to have disappeared. Hoping to see them back with the colder seasons.
Edited Screenshots: Some new shots from previously posted series. 1) Mighty Seddin Freight 2) Berlin-Leipzig 3) CSX military train on Hanover Sub

I am fully recovered now and I look forward to posting more screenshots again )

An unexpected day off work so put it to good use by:- A: Ignoring all the household repair jobs that are required. B: Turning on a Cricket commentary of Nottinghamshire vs Middlesex in the background and ... C: Having a play with a varied assortment of electric powered trains. It's amazing how different each of these are to drive compared to each other, but all equally as challenging in their own way. 1. S8 underground unit on the Metropolitan Line. 2. DB BR420 on the S-Bahn to Mammendorf. 3. Class 76 with a coal train on the Woodhead in Blue Line. All in all a pretty enjoyable day. P.S. For those of you who are not in to the game, mastering all three of these in a day would be a far easier task than learning the basic rules of cricket. [EDIT] Wife has just returned home and questioned my priorites? Where did I go wrong? all seemed fine to me ...
