    now the anouncents.

    Cityjet anouncments

    Station anouncments

    first the Cityjet anouncents
. you can her them in the videos i gave you on the reply i am now replying. the cityjet anouncments concist of 3 anouncmats when travelling to a station:

the first anouncmant is to hear when the doors are closed and the train departs: Zug nach, the destination of the train* nächster Halt, next Stop. the next station* .
    a few minutes before arriving:
in kürze erreichen wir, the next station* .
after the train stopps at the station:
Station, the station we arrived* ausstieg in fahrtrichtung rechts/links.

but when the train is going from the station to the last station then there is always a special anouncmant after all normal anouncmants.
endstation! bitte alle aussteigen. wir bedanken uns bei ihnen, und hoffen dass sie nald wieder mit uns reisen.

    And
if the train departs from the very first station then its NOT: zug nach. IT IS: Sehr geehrte fahrgäste. Herzlich wilkommen im zug nach.

these were the normal cityjet anouncents. but sometimes or at speciffic stations are some special anouncmants. here are they:
Vorsicht beim aus und einsteigen! Mind the gap!
Sehr geehrte fahrgäste. bitte beachten sie beim aus und einsteigen den niveau unterschied zwischen zug und bahnsteig.

    Station anouncments:

You hear a anouncmant when a train is coming in 1 minute to the station.

There are 2 options how they are in vienna.
option nr.1 a train is ending at wien meidling or at wien floridsdorf or at wien Praterstern. (INSIDE the stammstrecke)

a sound* Bahnsteig 1/2/3/4. S1/2/3/4/7 nach Wien Meidling / Wien Floridsdorf / Wien Praterstern fährt ein.

Option nr. 2 a train is ending OUTSIDE of the stammstrecke

a sound* Bahnsteig 1/2/3/4. S1/2/3/4/7 nach Wien Meidling / Wien Floridsdorf / Wien Rennweg und weiter nach The last station of the train* fährt ein.

    This Route also has depots.
The ones i know are at Wien Floridsdorf. There are Lots of S Bahn Trains. And one at Wien Meidling. The biggest Depot ( Cargo Depot ) is at Kledering the "Verschiebebahnhof Kledering" but this Depot is Not on our Route.

There are some Details at Two certain Stations in this Route suggestion.
    Lets start with Wien Handelskai
If you saw a Photo of a Station Then you See that There are Two more Plattforms parallel to the S Bahn (Stammstrecke) Plattforms. The Other Plattforms are the Plattforms for a Subway Line (U6). It will BE cool If we can See some U6 trains in the Station Wien Handelskai. Here a Video of the U6 at Wien Handelskai.

Now continiue with the Station of
    Wien Matzleinsdorfer Platz

Now There are no trains (S Bahn trains) stopping There because of construction Site works. The trains Pass the Station. BUT it will Be better If the trains (IN THIS ROUTE SUGGESTION) Stop at Wien Matzleinsdorfer Platz

These were the Special Details im this Route suggestion :)

This is how a train information Display Looks Like in a ÖBB Station.
    IMG_20220130_124139.jpg

As you See on the Top is the next Train. A S1 to Gänserndorf. But there IT says Wien Floridsdorf. So when a trains Destination is outside of the Stammstrecke then ist says the end of the Stammstrecke (Wien Floridsdorf/Wien Meidling) and the underneeth the real Destination. Like (weiter nach Gänserndorf).
    IMG_20220130_125027.jpg

When a trains Destination is Wien Floridsdorf/Wien Meidling then ist Just Saya Wien Floridsdorf/Wien Meidling.

Underneeth the minutes of when the Train Comes there is a sign of If the train is Just one train in one or two trains in one.

Again. Some more and maybe the Last information to the anouncments.

Lets say the next Stop is a Stop where you can Change to the Subway.

For example Wien Floridsdorf there you can Change to the Subway Line U6.

That means the anouncment is Like this.

    "Wien Floridsdorf, S Bahn U6"

So Just the Subway lines are called Out in the anouncments. Not trams or busses. Just Subway Lines.

Every train Line has one or more Depots so:

These are the Ines that i know that are in this Route.

So at Gänserndorf is a Track where some s Bahn trains stay until they start their Timetable.

At Wien Floridsdorf is a depot that ist really big, and Lots of Rex and s Bahn trains are there.

The biggest Depot is the one between Wien Meidling and Wien Matzleinsdorferplatz. IT IS For s Bahn trains Regional trains, railjets, nightjets and more.

At Wien Liesing are some Tracks where s Bahn Trains stay.

These were all Depots that i know on this Route.

    An Update For this Line:

So this Route (add on) should have the südbahn Like ist is now. With the Stations of "Wien Hetzendorf, Wien Atzgersdorf, Wien Liesing, Perchtoldsdorf, Brunn Maria Enzersdorf, Mödling".

In a Few years (i think) it will Change. 2 new Stations will BE added and other Stations geht updated.

    The Station "Wien Matzleinsdorferplatz":

IT opens in the next days. The Station Looked different i think. IT Look diffrent now. I think. So in this Route add on i want to have the new Version of Wien Matzleinsdorferplatz.

If this Route gets added then you can make an Update or Pack where the new Stations of the südbahn come with.

Every train of course has a Spot where it has to Stop at an Station. So a Single traction cityjet BR.4746/4744 has 75m length. We have lots of signs to Stop at in a Station: In normal S Bann Stations are 70, 140 and 150 signs. These stand for meters. A normal Single traction cityjet would Stop a little bit over the 70 sign. A doubble traction cityjet would Stop at the 150 sign but the Most s Bahn Stations don't have 150 signs. So They Stop a little bit over the 140 sign.

In the BR. 612, you can choose If you Want to Drive a Single traction or a doubble traction. I also Like to have this Option in this Route with the BR 4020 and the 4746/4744. So the normal setting is doubble traction. But you can Change it to single traction. Other Timetable AI trains Run in a doubble traction Just some trains do normally Run on single traction. But the ordinary one is doubble traction :)

When we have the Line from the Airport to the city, and from the Main Station to Wien Meidling. Why Not include railjet/nightjet Services ?

So i add the Line from the Airport to the Main Station ( upper plattforms) where railjet Services Go on and the Line from the upper plattforms of the Main Station to Wien Meidling, where railjets nightjets etc. Operate.

For this Suggestion, nightjet and railjet Services are enough. This is the Map of the Line With the Most important places on it:

    IMG_20220612_234700.jpg

The blue Line ist the Part that is new. The Rest is already included By S Bahn Tracks.

At the place where s Bahn and railjet Tracks Split Up, There is an important Bridge that goes over the Zentralverschiebebahnhof Kledering:

    Screenshot_2022-06-13-00-01-07-443_com.google.android.youtube.jpg

The new Part will add 9 Kilometers to the already existing (Suggestion) Line.

Hope you Like the Idea :)

how come I havent come across this thread sooner? I love it :) although, only to Modling? naaaah :) I would modify your suggestion a bit - actually I would do one of three variants:
    1) Stammstrecke from Floridsdorf to Meidling + Wien - Wiener Neustadt, both the mainline via Modling/Baden and the S60 / Pottendorfer Linie (+ Aspangbahn optional, since it has weird operating pattern and goes via Kledering)
    2) Old+New Westbahn to St.Polten, maybe Amstetten
    3) S45 + S80 + REX8 (either to Marchegg or even Bratislava)

y know what, make it four :D
    4) Stammstrecke, but also include the mainline up to Liesing (that way you could do S-Bahn runs that last about 30-40mins) + REX 7 all the way to Wolfsthal - that way you could also do:
    - CAT train
    - RJX trains, since many RJX trains now START and TERMINATE at VIE
    - S7 terminating at VIE
    - S7/REX7 services (those that are designated S7 until Schwechat / Kernzonegrenzestation and after that change to REX7)
    - pure REX7 services
    - what is interesting on REX7 is the fact that at Hainburg Personenbahnhof not only do the trains pass each other (this service has 30mins frequency), but at Personenbahnhof they also ask passengers who wish to continue further to move to the front train (REX7 usually travels as 2x CityJet consist), after that guards also move there, and passenger lights and such are turned off in the rear half

    or five? :D
    5) Stammstrecke + some S-Bahn/regional termini - like, S2 to Wolkersdorf, S4 to Stockerau

like, with Vienna you have so many options... its Nahverkehr Ostregion is so varied and cool and insanely good :)

on Saturday I had a nice ride from Wien-Praterstern via Floridsdorf and Sussenbrunn all the way to Marchegg... they are doing huge upgrades around Floridsdorf and Siemensstrasse, and also the route via Ganserndorf, as that one is also used for trains to Czech Republic... nice route, electrified, sometimes one track, lot of nice fields and views... and terminating at Marchegg - also then did some nice walk from Marchegg Bahnhof to Schlosshof and across the border :)

oh, and this train was Taurus plus Wiesel dostos, direction Marchegg it was led by a 8033 Wiesel dosto control cab... I was in the frontmost seat on the first floor that was facing the direction of travel, so I could read all signals :)))

A very cool route. especially with how busy the city is and all the switches, branches and flyovers between Wien Leopoldau where the S1 ends and Wien Sussenbrunn. After Sussenbrunn (as seen in my pf) it's a long straight stretch to the border as you get out of the city. Sadly I never had to go further than Sussenbrunn. but I think the whole vienna local network could consist of a couple routes as I expect the full vienna experience is just too much for consoles to handle if frankfurt hbf is already impossible according to DTG.

I'd love Wien Meidling to Bratislava like DRA over both Wien Leopoldau - Gänserndorf and Wien Stadlau and the high speed line of Siebenbrunn. if a new country isn't a good idea maybe end at Marchegg. not sure if the route gets really short then and Meidling needs to be extended on further. I'd say the Alstom line near Breitenlee is a must too to connect Sussenbrunn to Stadlau. yes the route is short but it has a lot of freight yards and Vienna itself is a big city. so I would accept this for a shorter route to get it in. it's my dream to get it ingame as it brings a lot of busy and different operations on a very popular bit of track. take the city tunnel and S bahn through the busy city and some farmland near the border. operate the many (3) freight yards in and around Vienna transporting a variety of cargo. or take a railjet to the border on the fast line. I hope to see the U1, U4 and U6 as AI next to the lines too. as mastery I'd say light up Prater of course. that will look amazing at night.

the line via Schonfeld-Lassee will be 160-200 once all the double-tracking is complete, I guess... many switches along the route appear to be highspeed... but will see... I am most curious about which train/EMU they will send as REX8 once the Marchegg - Devinska Nova Ves section is electrified and renovated :) since all the PR rage was about how the travel time will be cut from 70mins to almost 40, I am expecting some nice train (hopefully not with those .....y 120kmh Slovak coaches, which were comfortable but built for pretty low speed) :D will see hopefully in December when the construction on Slovak side should be done

there is SO MUCH going on in Vienna when it comes to construction, even if you exclude just residential buildings and pretty much new "siedlungs" sprouting up... a brief overview:
    - works already begun on the tram 27 bridge over tracks at Aspern Nord
    - new trackage around Aspern Nord, presumably to help S80 in frequency and changing ends
    - major construction around Floridsdorf, Siemensstrasse and further along the line to Marchegg via Ganserndorf
    - upgrade/renovation of Stammstrecke tracks and platforms/stations, upgrade to ETCS till 2027
    - extension of platforms at Handelskai from 150 to 220m, allowing for longer trains/more trains to stop there
    - S45 possibly getting an extension to Praterkai along the now freight-only corridor
    - removal of level crossings along S80, possible new station somewhere around Speising I believe
    - Liesing - Modling possibly getting 6track extension in near future
    - Atzgersdorf station getting MASSIVE upgrade in near future
    ...
    *brains exploded* :D

anyway, I can give you a tour around some of those stuffz in person, or at least give you tips, once you get to Vienna... I travel there 1-2x a week :)

ok, so at least I can give you some tips:
    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/safe-trainspotting-spots-in-vienna.78031/
there are a couple more, like S60 corridor passing through Oberlaa (a level crossing fairly close to the tracks), S45, S80 and S50 routes (just remember that S50 is included in Kernzone ticket only up to Purkersdorf Sanatorium station); then near Westbahnhof there is like 1 or two bridges with fairly decent views of departing / incoming / stationary traffic onto Westbahn :) and so much more :D

sure, maybe I have already visited those places but forgot to mention them :) this is like 3rd year I have been coming to Vienna this regularly, and have WALKED around its various U Bahn, S Bahn, regional rail, tram... lines :D

here is my fav multi-part epic walk aka my unofficial U-Bahn challenge, to navigate from one U-Bahn terminus to another to form a giant circle kind of:
    https://dennikn.sk/blog/3381751/vidensky-report-002-wiener-linien-unofficial-u-bahn-challenge/ (article)
https://www.wikiloc.com/walking-trails/wiener-linien-unofficial-u-bahn-challenge-135348683 (compiled map, almost 90 km in four parts)
(also did an almost 70km walk from Bratislava-Petrzalka to Wien-Erdberg, but that was a couple yrs back and a one time thing)
when I ran out of ideas, I made walks to places like Klosterneuburg (S40), Stockerau (S4), Wolkersdorf (S2), Purkersdorf (S50) and Wien-Liesing - Baden + Baden to Wiener Neustadt along the mainline... and one-time thing from Neuwaldegg (terminus of tram 43 I think) to Tulln via Tullner Strasse (essentially a car road through forest :D not exactly the safest)... or on Saturday I did a walk from Marchegg to Devinska Nova Ves :D

made sure to see what I could of all of Vienna's "Bezirke"... atm I am still thinking of how to utilize this knowledge... thought of doing some YouTube content, but am a bit too selfconscious for that atm :D there are very few content creators on YouTube who actually make full use content-wise of what Vienna has to offer... most channels are just 10-20 sights done to death :D like, you see Schonbrunn gardens done like 10000 times but very few videos mention beautiful places like Kurpark Oberlaa :D
