    Hi,

Created an ‘Off the Rails’ SoS scenario using a Western from Liverpool to Crewe but found the engines would shut-down at 36mph. Restarted them repeatedly while on the move but further shut-downs at 49, 62, 68 & 72mph before I got bored and gave-up.

Have subsequently tried Paddington - Reading and West Somerset Railway and in both instances the engines shut-down at 41mph.

Same on Xbox Series S. Tried it on two off the rails scenarios and GWR and same thing happened.

Just found the same (PC) - normal timetable mode. Seems to happen at various speeds full throttle. Used to work just fine.

I've had the same issue, if you run the service at not quite full throttle, 95% roughly, you should be able to complete the service without stalling plus remaining virtually on time

I’ve tried that but found anything above notch 6 eventually shuts the engines down.

I've just tried it on the ps4 and got the same result. You can restart the engines on the move but they shut down again when you try to get up to line speed.

I had it on the same timetable service 1B03 Swansea git to 55mph a d engine stopped can't recover it by pressing and holding the engine start button's (PS5) safety systems are on. The 52 for the West summer set does the same thing

I posted about this issue last week on the Xbox and others also reported the same issue on PC & PS. Some also reported it affecting the 45 too but I haven't come across this on xbox

just completed a ride without engine shut-down, however handling was like raw eggs. No excessive rpms, no top speed.
Seems really to be a bug and not a feature. Found out that the Maybach MD650 has a rpm range from 600-1500. No info on continuous rpm/power output. DTG please !

Can somebody confirm that it was ever possible to reach top-speed with the class52 ? Class 52 drivers at West Somerset will not be even close to speeding. Diesel Legends of GW is a different story. Just wondering why it is just now noticed.

I had confirmation today from the support ticket I raised that this is a bug and that a fix had been found and it is awaiting testing.

Top speed? Of course. A Western would normally reach around 97/98 on GW and have got to around 105 with them on NTP going downhill towards Huddersfield. Regarding the WSR, just because the nominal maximum speed is 25, there is nothing to stop you going above that…

    Seems to have been fixed.

One thing I’d question now is the top speed. Drove a Western from Paddington to Reading and it took 12 miles to get to 90 mph, maxed-out at 91 and dropped to 89 for the last 10 miles. Plenty of published timing runs of Westerns on bigger loads in the 60s and 70s sustaining 95 mph or more.
