As the 43s were the greatest train that came to the uk, it’s time to move on to a new era. The 800s era. These trains would be great for TSW2 as this train is made for any where as it’s hybrid. So if you would like to have 800s TSW, get reposting.
Well we would need an new route for that since the 800's didn't run during the period GWE is set in i think
Yea gwe was set while the ohle was being placed on the route so no electrics running during the time period
Kinda sad they didn't use West Cornwall route for it. Hopefully soon we get a new GWR Route this time in this time period. I don't know why we went back in time with that route. Just think how awesome it would of been with the 150 dressed in green and the Class 800/802.
It is set in 2017 so they were just being introduced, like the first couple were being rolled out in the back end of 2017 so it would have to be the 800 and not the 802 as they came at a later date. Us this line does have overhead cables so it would be possible. I definatly want to see this as I am not the biggest fan of subbing in the 395
Your service pattern would look like this inbound and outbound mode switch at Hayes and Harlington. To North Pole TMD Electric Mode for fun diesel mode.
Maybe get a whole new route like Bristol Temple meads to Newport or use the azumas from kings X to petersborough
It is not impossible as the length of routes ai starting too increase and if we are going to limit suggestion to routes of no more than 50 miles we wont ever see longer routes. Maybe if I was talking about a 100 plus mile route I'd accept your point but it is only 70 odd miles, like you say, to do the Peterborough to London section.
That is stil around 20 odd miles more when consoles struggle with Brighton mainline And that depends if you add hertford loop You sould also need to include a commuter and a fast service type of stock
I don't think all of the problems with bml are due to the length. Also the routes are usually 'tuned down' for the consoles so that they should cope with a route 70miles long which is only a handful of miles longer than a couple of those american freight routes.
The problem is will they charge more when they start doing longer routes as it will take time that is the question
Not necessarily as they will be able to get more experience to more efficiently built routes as time goes on therefore making longer routes easier.
