Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST on Friday, July 1st and will be judged by me - Pookeyhead In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5 PM Sunday, July 3rd a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. This weeks theme will be: Diesel Power. Feel free to interpret this as creatively as you like. So long as there is a link to Diesel powered railways in some form, then it is all good. Good luck to all.
37042 in Mainline livery gives lots of dirty clag and thrash as it pulls the failed 47814 and coaches in Intercity livery on a service from Brighton.
Hmmm............... with the theme of Diesel why do I anticipate a rake of Class 37 shots? Can't complain, I will be one of the culprits. Great theme cheers.
That's probably true but in my time playing TSC using AP locos I've found that the class 37 gives off the best clag.

Ok... the bit I always hate, because there are always so many great shots to choose from. OK. in third place, with a great shot using the awesome AP class 50, is Cragie-C In second place, with 68028 nosing into the frame is paulc ....and first place this week, is Blazin with the shot of the EMD SD40s. I just thought it was just such a rich, detailed shot, and the foliage looks amazing, and the colours are great. You can almost smell the cut timber and the fir trees.... and of course the diesel exhaust The standard was high this week. I think the opportunity to break out the smelly old diesels really inspires people Well done all, and over to you Blazin. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for next week's theme.
Congrats Blazin, deserved winner, totally agree with Pookeyhead's description. Looking forward to your choice of theme for next week.
Also Congratulations to your good self "Pookeyhead" 1. for your fantastic theme choice, and also 2. for your punctuality for announcing our winner. I Believe this is the first time I can rememeber the winner of our Unofficial thread has been announced before the Official Screenshot thread. As at time of posting there has been no announcement of a winner of the official screenshot thread and no thread set up for next weeks official comp. After winning the official screenshot thread in week 22 and never getting to see it first on the load up screen has really made me realise how much more fun and enjoyment this thread is, Friendly, no arguments about what is allowed, just great fun to be a part of. I am seriously considering not competing any more in the official comp. it is becoming too serious and also feel DTG have lost interest. Long live the Unofficial Screenshot Comp Thread.
Congratulations Blazin! Great pic As for this being the best shot contest, of course it is! Very relaxed & how it should be
Fantastic shot, worthy winner, as Craigie-C says, May this thread continue in the same friendly way as it has up to now. I just love being a part of it.............. Thanks all
Thank you so much for the kind words everyone! I'm very grateful that I won and congratulations to the other winners. New thread is up, with the theme "Heritage Railways". https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unofficial-screenshot-contest-2022-week-26.56219/
