External Storage

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding running TSW2 from an external hard drive? Any particular issues problems to be aware of?

 

I’ve used a Samsung 870 QVO 1TB SSD for about 3 years now, I already had one of these installed on my PS4, and eventually bought another one to run externally, it gave me a substantial increase in load times and even increased performance of the PS UI which is awfully slow on a HDD.

Since I’ve had my PS5 I’m still using it as an external drive for all my PS4 games.

They are more expensive than HDD’s but frankly an SSD is the easiest and most noticeable upgrade you can make to your PS4.

 

I have used a small 4 TB WD Drive I bought from Currys for about £80 for 3 years on my PS4 and never had any issues with it. Including TSW2

 

I've got an official PS external hard drive, no issue to report.

 

Been running on eSSD since day one on my PS5. Has had no issue whatsoever

 

I use a Western Digital 4 TB external HDD. I’ve never had an issue with any game and it’s were Train Sim World 1 and 2 reside.

 

When i try to install a livery it loads on the download thing it doesn’t show me the description and just shows a loading sign and I waited like 30 minutes and still didn’t download please reply if you know how to fix this

 

sign out of dovetail live and log back in and try download it again

 

I have the Ps4 version of TSW 2 installed on a 4TB external drive attached to my PS5.
I have the pS5 version of TSW 2 installed on a 2 TB SSD in the SSD expansion slot on the PS5.
Both run with no problems.

Regarding Creators Club, it needs a good looking at. I now tend to use the www version of the app as in game its crap and barely works.
I also try to remember to sign out of DTL just before I close the game down on the PS5. So when I load the game up again I don't get the stutters performance in the videos at the beginning. Only downside is I have to sign in again every time. Lol
