    Hello all,

Has anyone managed to make a scenario for the JT Metropolitan Line with the S8 and S7+1 stock? I have the new version (1.05) with the JT enhancement plus pack, using it in the scenario editor is impossible.

I just started one at Amersham and only have 1 S8 stock, the player train, that is it, add a S8 AI train in at Chalfont and bang, OOM. How it's out of memory is beyond me as that is only the 2nd train added in the scenario! I restarted the sim and went back in and I see the scenario marker for one second and I'm thrown out again with an OOM.

Wondering if it's my scenario, I try a couple of JT's supplied scenario's to see if they load in the scenario editor, but same thing, it goes on to the map where the scenario maker is for a second and then it's a OOM error.

Yet I can actually play any of these scenario's with no problems whatsoever and no crashes at all, and on other routes I can have a whole host of Armstrong Enhancement Pack or their own stuff like the 37 and have no crashes or OOM's in the editor, even with dense traffic around London Terminals.

Are these S8's super extremely scripted? How come the editor can't handle any more than one S8 train yet I can happily drive a scenario with plenty of S8 stock?

    Any help or theory's appreciated!

  2. I assume you are working with the 64bit version?

Have you tried lowering the detail level in edit mode? Sometimes this can help lower oom crashes.

Are you creating these scenarios from scratch? Or copying and editing jt scenarios?

One thing I noticed put a stop to a lot of my ooms was to lower the scenery density in ts settings.

The Metropolitan is one of the most detailed routes, and from my own research of JT's files there's a lot of errors to be found that could provoke a crash.

Maybe creating the scenario in 32-bit mode with reduced scenery detail and quality can help.

For editing there's no need for high details, shadows or water reflections - stability counts.

This advice from HIS' Penn Central pack might apply here too... Borderless, 32 to edit, 64 to play.

Interesting yes it was in 64 bit full screen mode with detail that I use when playing, but I don't have shadows etc, I will try that along with lowering scenery density and will report back how I get on

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Never had crashes but I struggled to make AI traffic in quick drives. It caused my train to take ridiculous routing.
