I haven't played TSW for a while, but when I started again I noticed the DB BR 204 on Dresden-Riesa. At first I thought cool, it will definitely be a Substitute for the BR 363, wrong you can use it for entire Freight Services like the DB BR 182/155. Is that the Intention of DTG/Rivet or did someone make a Mistake?
I think it appeared when rsn got its preservation update. I don't have the loco. Also, it's for the challenge. It might be small but it can still haul
I found out on Sunday that the BR204 runs on the route.. "I found out by accident this morning that Rivets DB BR204 was available to be used (6 services only) on Ruhr Sieg Nord. I found out just by running a a 185 Journey. Chapter freight Driver. I chose DB80103 Hagen - Boele. It was a journey that you start about 0715'ish in the morning. I found out completely by accident as before I started my journey I went over and looked at what locos were on the power move and to my utmost surprise the DB BR204 was in the power moves consist. Also I note that the DB BR204 has also had the "talk to the signaller" walkie talkie attached inside of the cab. So this must have only been done when the Ruhr Sieg Nord mastery update came about, as I have not seen any news about it in the patch notes either. The DB BR204 also appears with 13 services on Rhein Ruhr Osten 13 Services on Hauptestrecke München Augsburg 112 Services on Dresden Riesa So erm yeah im surprised." At least it went back to its Stomping grounds pre German Reunification the Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR Network Riesa-Dresden and Tharandter Rampe Dresden Chemnitz. There is a version of the DB BR 204 DR V100 that has the same DB BR363 couplers as the DB BR298 or DR BR108. That way it can sub onto DB BR363 jobs the Chemical Plant if given the Shimms-TTU RSN Shimms U708 Main Spessart Bahn the Riesa Steel Mill. Here is the picture of DB BR298 the DB BR204 with 363 Couplers in Neighbouring Austria OBB 1064 Electric Villach Sud and Wien Kledering 2070 couplers
Sorry, but a BR298 is definitely not a BR204 with RK900s. A BR204 is a DR 110->112->114/115. A BR298 is a DR106 (and DR 110-156 and DR 110-161 as rebuild variants).
Intermodals aren't heavy! The DR designed what is now the 204 as a dual-purpose locomotive, both heavy shunting and local freight.
Not really "heavy shunting". The train weight table says something different for this loco. You can hook up a 1000t train if you want, but do't expect speeds faster than 20-40kph then, and don't even try a slight gradient On a 10permill gradient this thing can haul only 200t at 25kph max. Ah, and by the way, this recreated Rivet 204 is actually a BR202 renumbered by PRESS to 204. It was a DR112 before. And DR112s become BR202 at DB.
