Everyone loves a network route, and here's a way you could get a lot of interesting activity in a small geographical area. The route, as I see it, could be made up of the following lines:

    1. Bochum - Dortmund - Hamm
The mainline, a continuation of HRR

    2. Bochum - Dortmund-Dorstfeld - Dortmund (S1)
A semi-parallel S-Bahn route with some underground stations

    3. Lutgendortmund - Dorstfeld - Unna (S4)
An S-Bahn route that starts in an underground station, runs alongside the mainline for a while, then crosses over, avoiding Dortmund Hbf, and running through the suburbs of Dortmund to Unna-Kuhlungsborn. Here it reverses and comtinues to Unna, where it meets

    4. Dortmund - Holzwickede - Unna - Hamm
This line leaves Dortmund from the west, but circles around the south of the city before heading north east and rejoining line 1

    5. Dortmund - Mengede - Castrop Rauxel (S2)
An S-Bahn route that stops at Dorstfeld before heading north. There are also two cutoff routes for this line, one to the Hbf for regional trains, and a busy freight line that avoids it.

    Services include:

    S1, S2 and S4: Class 422, Class 1429 formerly 143 + x-Wagen

    RE1/RE6/RE11: (Düsseldorf+) - Bochum - Dortmund - Hamm: Class 462, formerly 146+Dostos
    RE3: (Düsseldorf) - Castrop-Rauxel - Dortmund: Class 427, formerly 425 or 111+ older dostos or n-Wagen
    RB29: Dortmund - Holzweickede - Unna (- Soest): Class 427, formerly DB loco-hauled

ICE1, 3, 4 and IC between Bochum and Dortmund
ICE2 or 4 between Bochum - Dortmund and Hamm

Therefore suggested DLC would be an ICE2 plus a 143+x-Wagen. You could set it around 10 years ago, when the 422s were being introduced.

Anything for x-Wagen, also really like the ICE 2 (and 1), there is also a BR 120 in one of your pictures, would love to see that aswell.

Why not include the S5 via Hagen VorhalleWhere freight trains from Dortmund and Wuppertal Steinbeck end and Reassembled. You can also check my signature for Bochum-Dortmund/Hagen on how your route since forms a merger of RRO HRR and RSN if the S5 Dortmund Hagen Wetter gets built. S1 can Run 55kM 35 mi Duisburg to Dortmund. This is actually seen on HRR DB BR422 (Achievement is tracked as part of Wuppertal Commuter)

I like this Suggestion. I live in Dortmund since May. My favorite Route in TSW is HRR because of the density of cities. In my opinion HRR could be much better with a new timetable. So my hope is if they would build a network, like your suggestion, than they mabye could make HRR a better route with much more traffic

If you want to make this route merge with RRO RSN then S5 Dortmund to Hagen via Hagen Vohalle Rbf. Fast Line Bochum Langendreer. Uses DB BR1440. Bonus is that owners of this route can use them on HRR and Dresden Chemnitz.

Route merging would be great but it doesn't look likely from DTG's point of view. There's four different lines connecting Hagen with the lines described above but you've gotta stop somewhere.
