They use the German tank cars (KKW or whatever they're called) that used to be included with the base Railworks game (I guess now they're in the European Assets pack)

    EDIT:

I was going to say I think it's the ones from the UKTS wagons pack.

The new wagons for this week’s Wagon Wednesday are the ICA-D. F18E66B0-356B-48F4-A10E-3623BBF86466.jpeg

Not quite - their info is not correct
They are confusing the Exeter - Shrewsbury section at 196mils with the full train run from Burngullow to Irvine at 550 miles

I thought they were doing to Exeter and Bristol on SWE, Bristol to Newport on SWC, and Newport to Shrewsbury on WM? Are you saying the information they are using is not correct?

Besides, my comment meant more the 5 hours plus invested in the journey.

It was the distance quoted as 550 miles which is wrong
The section in the game as you quoted is 196 miles - even if it does take 5 hours

Right, I never said 550 miles. I was only referring to the time. :D

Besides, that's for the ENTIRE thing, from origin to terminus. Generally, freight services continue through entire routes and exit into the wild green termini.

And you bring up a post from nearly a month ago without understanding/comprehending the "in-house joke" behind my comment, Seems like you are nothing but a [removed - JD - language] stirrer!

I was on vacation for what it is worth. It seems you constantly try and cause issues in these forums and about time admin dealt with you. If Cyclone has an opinion he is entitled to voice it if it does not fit your view then thats not his problem nor anyone else's bar yours.
    have a lovely day

Hello folks - if a discussion has happened a significant period ago, it's probably not wise to stoke it back up again.

As for language - you folks know the drill by now. This is a forum for players of all ages.

Wouldn't hold my breath for the EP. They recorded Class 70 sounds three years ago and have yet to release anything off it.

Only difference I'd say is they didn't ask for the publics help a week before they recorded the 70 sounds, so that may have just been an opportunistic recording session for a "maybe in the future".

Seems to me like they wanted/needed the 60 one's bad enough to break silence pre-development for a reason.

I'm not saying they are or are not, just throwing my thoughts into the pot.

Although they would have got some sound recordings at lower speeds they might not have got anything of the loco working hard with a heavy train.

I still might be tempted of getting the DTG Class 60 as it is in the sale - just in case :)

Do we know if it's going to be a stand alone model or an enhancement of the DTG 60?

I was just about to say that. I would wait and see what they are planning before rushing out and buying anything.

My guess is it's going to be an EP of the DTG model. I don't see any reason why someone would spend time making a new model when the DTG one is acceptable. They don't have any modelers on hand anyways and the usual suspects are busy doing other things.

You're probably right, but I'd still wait and see before making any assumptions about anything.

There's a nice enhancement being worked on by Major Wales for the Class 60 right now, it convinced me to punt the £6.59 current sale price on it. Also there's a scripting patch on ATS, not tried it yet though.

Of course an AP enhancement would be the icing on the cake so at least I have it there ready and waiting.

Have anyone tried adapting the JT Class 60's cab and sounds to the DTG Class 60?

Someone did make a mod applying the now discontinued AP JT 60 sound pack to the DTG 60.

Looks like the MJW 60 used content by another creator. Might be removed within a day.

Just to be clear, I am not taking sides. But the evidence is indeed there for it.

In essence the code to achieve the same thing has got to be similar unless it is for an entirely different system. To identify plagiarism it has to be not just similar but identical. To be clear I don’t care a fig for UK enhancements so am not grinding any particular axe. I only read this thread for my amusement.

Probably why this was all news to me then. Oh well. I'm sure if there's plagiarism involved, MW will be forced to remove it. If it remains up, then we can assume that there's not a problem. If you are interested in the MW class 60, just grab it now, even if you haven't got the DTG 60 yet. Once it's safely on your hard drive, there's nothing anyone can do about it.

Yep, we're just going to wait and see what happens, I'm not exactly Mr popular on the ATS FB page atm for going off on one about that this should've been handled in private, I still believe it should have been but that's not really a discussion for this thread so I'll leave it at that, other than just making it clear that I do not now or ever have condoned intellectual property theft.

Yeah Reef, one of your posts showed up complete with a remark from Alan himself on the Discord server. I then looked at the MJW Facebook and you would not know anything was wrong, no negative posts.

There is a response from Ben (P) on his own page and obviously the replies and counter arguments from Ben (S) not to mention the replies from the community members who've decided it's their business too.

One absolute hero (other choice frowned upon terms are available) has even left a sarcastic review on MJW's page, bet he's very proud of himself..
