Hello, I have a noob question I guess, well, Im not have a powerfull pc, and I really dont understains what in game make more difference to put low or high. So, Im playing the game with almost none problem most the time, but some fps drop here or there on high speed and in routes where the specific part have more objects.
Im playing with graphic between medium, high and low.
    Foliage - High
    Shadow - Medium
    Effects - Low
    Post Process - Medium
    View Distance - Medium
    Texture - High
    Motion blur - off

So the real question is what in this list I should really change? Or what have more impact on performance in overall?
I asked because I see some routes are very fine with this config but others I have a little bit struggle sometimes.

This would be better served in the PC section as it is relevant...
DTG Alex any chance of a move?

For the most part, your fps will change if you change shadows, post processing and foliage (depends on cpu). I usually keep view distance on medium or high since it doesn't like pop in and it didn't really have an impact for me. In terms of textures, i personally don't see a lot of difference between the settings. The main thing you'll notice is whether the ballast on the track is straight or not and how far out you can see on the track/track rendering, etc. You'll see what I mean if you just play around with textures in the menu. I never do ultra cuz to me it looks exactly the same as setting everything on high. I've used to play on low/medium settings before upgrading my laptop using an external gpu. Changing shadows and post processing from high to medium gives me like idk 5-10fps more total. On some routes, changing foliage from high to medium gives me a couple frames. I like high or medium since low makes the route feel empty scenery wise. If you bring shadows/post processing down to low/off, the game doesn't look that great. At least turn on some shadows. The game looks decent on low post processing since the major change I see is whether there is ssao or not. With shadows, I would go with medium cuz it still like nice. You might want to bring it down to like low on some routes. For effects, it mostly affects particles, smoke, screen space reflections, quality of rain on the windshield, etc. I didn't see much change in performance, maybe a few frames. Most of the preserved routes such as those from tsw2020 run really well. The tsw2 routes need some playing around with the settings.

Hi thanks. I bring down the foliage to medium, and post process to low (game is more bright) but its ok, its seens for me that foliage on medium help a lot, shadows I try on low and well its helps too, but in some parts seens weird because its like npc are floating, so I decide to go medium, but now i will run foliage everytime on medium, post and effect on low, because I barely go on rain. And I notice when automatic settings are apply on menu, if a go on medium effect and shadows are on low, I dont remember, if go high theres 2 options in every preset always below the others.

Most likely cuz shadows and effects have bigger performance hits compared to other settings. Ones more gpu heavy and other is like cpu I guess cuz it's like ssr and particles and stuff.
