I know its been a while with no new releases of new locos and routes and it would be nice if we would see like a new route like the hudson line or new haven line or extend the harlem line up to southeast and also it would be nice we had an update on some routes like the harlem line and Long island railroad and also we hope to get some new timetable services for the Harlem line and l hope one day we see some more united kingdom routes like Victoria line and Jubilee line or maybe some London Commuter Branch lines because l know the Routes that need an update are london commuter Harlem line Long island railroad
They aren't going to do extensions or add any branch lines cuz they have said it many times they are not going to do that until they are able to which is going to be a long wait.
We've just had a UK route, even if it's in "the wrong era" for many Oh, and Rivet just announced an updated Isle of Wight which will also count as "UK" to many
Nope. It's a new EMU and a remake of the Isle of Wight route which is a standalone route from the old Isle of Wight. Both are independent of each other
There shouldn't be less of anything and clearly British routes are very popular, being part of the big three, so it wouldn't make economical sense to make less of them.
I think instead of focusing any new British routes on the southeast the areas further north need some love however as mentioned earlier DTG are focusing on fixing bugs rather than creating new DLC for the time being.
I presume you were meant to lies. If so than how is stating a clear and obvious fact lying. Couldn't the same be said for the american and german stuff as there are a similar, if not same amount, of routes in Britain, america and germany therefore "more us [and] german" routes would mean other routes including British ones will be neglected. I still stand that there shouldn't be less of any particular kind of route and tsw should always expand.
why would DTG drop (what I’m assuming haven’t clarified) they’re biggest customer ? (If it isn’t it’s still a large portion) you can’t just drop a large part of the customer just cause people want more North American and German content Increased interest is more likely to provide routes with more care and attention, not too mention financial changes from this. Canada specifically hasn’t had much integration into to TSW2 as of this point, so it would make no sense to drop one of the big 3 for that. I’m all up for more and different countries content (Including the big 3) but dropping U.K. is terrible plan ——————————————————————— personally I think for the time being, DTG should do one of each of the “big 3” then one from another country (France/Canada/Switzerland or something new). Repeat might be a good solution…?
They only made one. My point is that they put most of their time into these British routes and leave ALOT of glitches. I bet you that if you count the add ONS and dlcs, there would be more British than anything else (not combined).
Oh please, is it all that necessary to call someone [REMOVED - Alex - Offensive Language] for not seeing one thing?
Well have you seen all the other posts he has made asking for updates for LIRR and Harlem line and new york subway routes
This guy is a joke he spams everywhere for updating his bloody Harlem lines or the Hudson line or extending LIRR… he’s not worth interacting with as don’t even read how many times we told him to stop doing that
I admit that I’m not that well versed in whoever this guy is, but there’s still no need for that language…
I believe the numbers between British, german and american stuff are more similar than you are making out. I don't know anything about german or american stuff but from other forum posts and other sources I can find no evidence at all of dtg putting more time into British routes. The one outlier was SoS but a lot of that work wasn't for just the route but steam itself so may benefit the german and american stuff in the future. I don't know why you have a problem with British routes and as I have said all along TSW shouldn't make less of anything and should always be expanding.
Still hoping DTG makes a BNSF route or ATSF route in the future. I really want BNSF's Cajon Subdivision from Barstow to San Bernardino, California set in the modern day. There would be plenty of heavy freight action over the pass, yard switching in Barstow and San Bernardino, and lots of industrial operations, such as SB's intermodal facility, Victorville cement plants, and grain silos at Verdemont. The route is 82 miles, so it might be a bit too long, but it needs to be made. I want a BNSF ET44C4 (or maybe an ES44AC, ES44DC, or ES44C4) for heavy freights, a GP60 or GP60M(-3) for local freights and switching ops, and maybe one more engine (maybe a C44-9W/AC44C4M or SD70ACe). ATSF #3751 and an excursion passenger train could also be added in the future as a DLC; the engine would also come with an Amtrak P42DC (drivable as well) for the excursions.
Look where DTG are based? Obviously they are going to do slightly more of their 'home' route. Even if DTG think that 'UK' is 'England' and Scotland is separate. Please show me a US or German software company that does more train routes than their home country or even as many as DTG has done. There hasn't been a modernish UK route from DTG for a while now but you think DTG should drop British routes, wow. Why don't you go and play Run8 or even TS1?
These things aren't always down to being unfair but things such as source material, player popularity and licensing a lot of the time. Also there are backdated american routes I believe.
At least as far as German content goes, they have TSG to make them decent loco dlc. US content from Skyhook has been 2 US routes that are very meh, and unattractive.
There's only 1 historical US Route in TSW2, Clinchfield. And it was very well received, but been neglected since, no fixes to bugs, and no loco DLC to expand operations in it.
Yes, Microsoft Flight Simulator, the game made by the multibillion pound company with more money than they know what to do with and the resources to create some of the most graphically astounding games of all time. That seems like a fair comparison to make.
Well let's stop and think about how many more steam routes there are, and how many more American routes there are. Also less bugs.
There's a reason new stuff still comes out to Open Rails, it all depends on what someone wants out of their train simulator experience.
I don't know what you expect dtg locked the game down have a handle full of 3rd party that have strict conditions to work with and wonder why there is only a few routes from each area
There is a new US Route coming to TSW2. It's on the roadmap. If you haven't checked it out, you should: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw2-roadmap-5-july-2022
Yes but the scenery is weaker and more sparse in MSTS, and IIRC the locos and units have less features. I'm sure DTG/partners could churn out a new route every month if they were built to such low detail. But they'd get slaughtered for it, and you'd hate the routes - and you seem fairly unhappy with the existing content. Were they built to MSTS standards you'd be very unhappy indeed.
They put lots of time into every dlc , and I’d much rather they put lots of time into a UK route than a route in San Marino
Now there is this 'leak' from JD that TSW3 is on the way will people want to buy DLC for TSW2? I'm thinking of the latest gen and decent PC's. Or will they wait until we get some sort of confirmation from dtg?
valid point, but Im honestly not sure edit: after some thinking on this, I think I will continue to buy TSW2 dlc as if TSW3 doesn’t allow TSW1+2 content i won’t be joining the band wagon for that. If it does then all is well
Tbh, I don't think it'll stop me from buying new add-ons, but that depends on there being something I want to buy first
