This route is in the south west of England and covers the Avocet Line (Exmouth to Exeter) and the Riviera Line (Exeter to Paignton). It could be set in either Anytime after 2015.

    Stations include:
    Exmouth
    Lympstone Village
    Lympstone Commando (Request stop)
    Exton (Request stop)
    Topsham
    Newcourt
    Digby and Sowton
    Polsloe Bridge
    St James’s Park
    Exeter Central
    Exeter St David’s
    Exeter St Thomas
    Starcross
    Dawlish Warren
    Dawlish
    Teignmouth
    Newton Abbot
    Torre
    Torrquay
    Paignton

It is approx 40 miles in length so within dovetails route making capabilities.

    Trains could include:
    Class 150/2
    Class 143
    Class 166
    Class 165
    Class 43 HST
    Class 800 IET

    Services could Include
Exmouth - Exeter St David’s (Calls at all stations)
Exmouth - Paignton (Calls at all stations)
Exmouth - Paignton (Semi fast. Skips Exeter St Thomas, Starcross and Dawlish Warren)
Exeter St David’s - Paignton (Calls at all stations)
Exeter St David’s - Paignton (Semi Fast. Skips Exeter St Thomas, Starcross and Dawlish Warren)
Exeter St David’s - Newton Abbott (Express. Skips all stations in between)

    Route seen in real life:

Overall, due to the scenic nature of this route and the variety of trains and routes that you can drive on I would recommend this route to be added into TSW 2.

Had a holiday down in Dawlish when I was younger and I loved it, so I’d definitely like this one. Nice scenery and few different trains

Living in Devon, I have travelled these routes many times and they are indeed beautiful lines. Probably a bit long for a non high speed line in TSW2 but it would be a good addition. The Exmouth - Paignton service would be welcome as it covers the whole line and involves a reversal at Exeter St Dave’s.

Dare I say that the line could be set in steam days and continue to Kingswear with a walkable section on Goodrington Sands?

I'm a fan of this plan, plenty of room for AI services and varied driving styles which suits me perfectly

I'd support this: scenic route, varied traffic, different types of service to run, could re-use existing DLC to pad out the timetable. Also I grew up in Exeter...
