They know WHY, they just haven't said when it's going to be in our hands. Given all it takes is someone editing the consists it shouldn't have taken long to fix, but getting fixes out the door is always a thing for DTG nowadays
It is a particular pain coming so soon in the Journey mode too. How many people have been put off or even refunded because they got stuck on this scenario, as not everyone checks the forums etc. for support or solutions.
There is a mod by someone on the TSC discord but it hasnt been uploaded publicly yet, I have asked about this as cannot upload it to the forums. Im very suprised DTG have not fixed this yet, seeming a mod did not long after release.
There is a another scenario not much further into Journey Mode - Through Freight Edge Hill to Nuneaton which has the identical problem. The vacuum fitted vehicles are in the middle of the train with unfitted wagons either side. Unless you pull strings, can't move the train which, just to add to the fun, is parked on a 1 in 120 rising gradient. Get it sorted, Dovetail.
Just one other thing to check Mike as I found out the hard way. Some of the scenarios are starting with the tender handbrake on, which is possibly contributing to the wheelslip etc. trying to pull away.
Thanks Vern, i always dump the tender. It's only dead weight, but then i do not get very far But seriously i will check the brake next time i play, buddy. Mike.
Is this the reason why I can't get a few freight services in the timetable mode to move more than a foot? Well son of a #$%!@, I answered my own question. The branch freight service to Speke has the low-side red cars with tarps on top. I had to release the vacuum breaks on each one. Half of them were on the side facing the platform, and it took forever to find the sweet spot! You live & you learn, it seems...
And as I mentioned above check the tender handbrake, if you find you are slipping with minimal regulator. In addition to the misformed consists, if/when DTG fix the scenarios they also need to slip in an instruction to release the handbrake.
