I'm more concerned about melting from the heat that's gonna come out of it. My 220w 3070 has been unbearable these last few days.
I run something fairly old and underpowered, but TSW does make my graphics card fans run high almost all the time
Ha! I think I'm running a radeon RX570 but that could be wrong... I've looked it up on some passmark sites and it's not even listed (though it is on the AMD site)
Not a bad card. I was looking for a second hand one not that long ago but in the middle of the gpu madness it was double the price it was at launch. Ended up paying gtx 1050ti msrp for a gt 1030. Now the mining craze is coming to an end gpu pricing is returning to normal.
Isn't the founders edition a lot shorter than the third party options? Just looked. Its still quite long! I couldn't believe the size of the evga model! I had to buy a new case.
I think my solution will be an upgrade or new case but I probably need someone to transfer it all over. Don’t really want to upgrade though as it was £3.5k and not quite two years old
Gigabyte 3080 and 3090 Turbos are 267mm long, they're also only 2-slot with external venting as they are blower-style so good for tight cases (traditionally much louder than axial fans however)
I also have an Alienware and the cases are a little tight, especially if you want to replace the GPU. Mine came with a 3080 but if I were to upgrade it, I would probably take it to the computer store down the street. My small- motor skills are not what they were.
