    Hello,
I would like to ask, if there are catenary signs, corresponding to 'EL' signs (DB), on British railway tracks ?

    examples of 'EL' signs:
main power switch OFF (EL_1 sign)
    el1.gif

    or
main power switch ON (EL_2 sign)
    el2.gif
    or
    pantograph DOWN (EL_4 sign)
    el4.gif
    or
    pantograph UP (EL_5 sign)
    el5.gif

    or EL_6 sign
STOP for engines with raised pantograph el6.gif

Do we have corresponding signs on British railroad tracks ?

AND(!), do we have British objects (signs) for TS classic ???

    Thank you...

As far as I am [personally] aware there are only a few signs pertaining to UK overhead operations... The 2 main ones [in my opinion] are the "neutral section advance warning:

This is to advise drivers to start "running down" the tap changer / power, and is seen about 1/2 mile prior to the commencement of the actual neutral section... Mainly concerns the older AC stock as newer stock deal with neutral sections automatically...

    and

the "commencement of the neutral section" sign:

By the time the train / driver arrives at this point, the power / controller should be in the "off" position... Newer traction deals with this process automatically...

There is roughly [off the top of my head] a 30 foot [sorry, don't do metric] gap where the power changes from one feeder station to the next... As soon as the train clears the neutral section, the driver can reapply power... Again, this is dealt with by newer traction automatically...

This is quite an interesting read:

As is the whole site in general:

    Hope this helps...

    Thank you very much, Eric...

Okay, so the British system is simplified.

    Both signs,

... I already have seen in my world editor objects list.

    Thank you !

On European railways there are times the driver needs to lower the Pantograph - like power system changes
Also European Drivers need to trip & reset the Main Circuit Breaker

In the UK they only need the two signs as there are Magnets at the start and end of the Neutral Section
The tripping and resetting of the Breaker is done automatically

On some routes in TSC the Neutral sections work and take power off the driver - if the train has that feature.

On the CTRL they use the French style of OHLE Signs
