Hello, I bought the Class 90 ( electric locomotive with pantograph system ). Unfortunately, I see on many British routes for TS classic NO(!) catenary system. - sometimes you can read in descriptions: 'status before electrification' . Well, I build for my own 'private' and fictive route a catenary system for a small area; it is a time consuming work ! So I can understand, that designer don't look forward to do that job... But my Class 90 ladies need a catenary system! This map shows 'electrification on British Railway Network'; unfortunately I couldn't find out 'catenary' or 'ground rail' ... ?! You could help me to find some 'decent' routes for my Class 90, checking your UK routes for TS classic and recommend UK routes with a catenary system for TS classic... Thank you!
A good starter route with AC overhead electric, often discounted in price, is GEML London-Ipswich (there used to be a version all the way to Norwich on Workshop, but I think that may have gone and someone else is creating the full GEML in due course). Class 90s also ran on the WCML from London Euston to Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Preston, Carlisle and Glasgow. There were periods when they'd run out of London Kings Cross as well. They did a fair amount of freight work for Freightliner and EWS/DB, which also saw them appearing up and down the WCML. Pretty much all routes south of the River Thames generally run on DC power rather than AC, and should be discarded for Class 90 operations. Plenty of routes with catenary for you to use this loco with though.
Routes available in TS Classic that 90s have run or still do run over WCML North WCML over Shap WCML Trent Valley WCML South GEML ECML-South ECML - York - Peterborough Modern There are a number of Freeware/Payware routes not included in this list
