This route would be set in the 1980s and cover the busy commuter belt from Ilford/Shenfield into London Liverpool Street as well as the express trains to Clacton & Walton, which would’ve been handled by Class 309’s during the period in question, as well as services to Colchester Town, which in reality would be hauled by Class 321’s, but that’s for a later DLC. As well as the routes mentioned above, the Class 315 would also find use on the Romford - Upminster line which is just over 3 miles long, giving a total route length of around 65 miles.

    Proposed Rolling Stock

Would appear on express services to Clacton & Walton, which would split at Thorpe Le Soken to allow one unit to go to Walton and the other to go to Clacton. Would also be used on services to Colchester Town, though I don’t believe they would have done this irl. There were some 2 car sets up until the mid 1970s, after which they all became 4 coaches long. They were eventually withdrawn in January 1994, although seven units had a short reprieve with First North Western which came to an end in 2000. Two sets are in preservation, No’s 309616 & 624.

Would operate all of the stopper services out of Liverpool Street, with Bethnal Green being a station where the player could spawn in and drive trains to & from. Would also mean that all but one of the PEP’s would be available in TSW (Merseyrail 507’s & 508’s)
Whilst not included with the route, Class 47’s would layer in to cover the express services to Ipswich, Harwich & Norwich before this route was electrified in the early 1990’s.

Yes please. The Clacton Expresses shared duties with the newer Class 312s between 1977 and 1994. The 321s only started regular diagrams from Clacton in 92/93 once the 317s had displaced the Dusty Bins from their initial West Anglia duties.

A route of this length would definitely need an additional EMU, I'd suggest a Class 308 as they did the stoppers between Walton/Clacton and Colchester and even used to stand-in on London runs prior to the arrival of GN's allocation of 312s in 1987/88.

Until 1987 a silver-roofed Class 47s and a mixed rake of Mk1 and 2s were the norm on the Intercity services, so they're in-game already.

To make the Class 315 DTG can use Eastcoastway 313/2 then take out the 750v dc system out add in 25kv 50hz systems. Since the Class 315 is the pure OHLE version of Class 313. GEML section to Colchester Freight class 86 & 87
