I just ran this service and had no problem finishing it. I went full throttle from the start and was able to keep 50 km/h during the climb.

Did you turn the banking COMM on ?

I loose power as the gradient gets to 2.1 then it steadily declines. I can't get power over 80% without tripping out the engine. I'm at a loss to be honest

Hello friend, before starting your service, make sure that there are two locomotives pulling the wagons, if so, you press the red button, in the upper left corner of the left screen, Banking COMM, something like that, because with this function on both locomotives will run simultaneously and you will be able to climb the gradients without any problems, on other freight trains, make sure you find the Banking COMM function and turn it on for better performance.

Ok you will please have to forgive me but upper left corner of left screen. I am still struggling.. I don't see any red button or instruction for banking comm or to which left screen you are referring. I presume the one on the console in front of the driver?

Hello friend, good morning, don't worry, I believe I had the same difficulty you had, so I sympathize with you, make sure you always activate this function when you have two locomotives or more.

I believe I learned this function in one of the MSB scenarios, which he explains that a train at the bottom of the slope will connect behind you to help you up the slope, and he explains how to couple and how to make it work simultaneously using this function.
