I never knew Ireland had railways until I see an advertisement for some luxury train cruise around the country. At 20k it's out of my price range! What line in particular?
Various Irish routes have been suggested in the past but does not seem high on DTG’s to do list. The most interesting and scenic routes are the rural ones which sadly do not see that many daily train movements. To get a decent amount of freight traffic you would probably have to set back in the 1970’s when the sugar beet industry was in full flow.
Since this guy can’t be specific, for him I’ll request the Dublin Connolly - Belfast route but only as far as Dundalk and/or the Dublin Heuston - Cork but only as far as Portlaoise both great Routes but i would rather the Dundalk route due to there being more to do
The Dublin to Belfast Line will go far as Drogheda , because every station served by Irish Rail is 40 minutes
They could add Dublin - Cork. Which also comprises Dublin - Limerick (Change at Limerick Junction in Co Tipperary.) Or Dublin - Rosslare, or maybe even Dublin - Belfast (Belfast is UK)
For DTG they need to know how ROI CAWS works. Northern Ireland is part of the UK therefore it's AWS TPWS DSD Driver's remainder Appliance for its Trains. IE Republic of Ireland Trains need to have UK AWS TPWS DSD DRA. The route for this can be Belfast Newry Dundalk.
Would need it shorter like as far as Portlaoise. But the line to Belfast would be better due to it being more busy
