On the ps store train sim world 3 shows up as ps5 is the pre order for ps4 to so if i get that will it work

 

The pre-order for the deluxe and standard edition do show up on PS4 as PS4 versions.
If you are looking at the PS store through your PS5 or through the PS app signed into your PS5, you will see the PS5 version and not the PS4 version.

 

I was able to pre-order the PS4 version on the PS Store just then. I‘m in Germany, not sure if it different for each location

 

I'm in the US ,and it also worked here for the PS4 version. Now just waiting until September 2nd.

 

Will the starter packs be available for pre-order? I only need the German route as I understand SEHS will upgrade automatically

 

I’d like to get advanced access but don’t want Cajon Pass as it’s not my type of route.

 

If I purchase the ps5 version, will I be able to download the ps4 version too, like with TSW2?

 

Hmm that’s a dilemma then. Is it at least possible to uninstall cajon pass? Bearing on mind DLC limits

If I already own Spirit of Steam for TSW2 on both PS4 and PS5 would I have to pre-order the deluxe edition of TSW3 in order to play Spirit of Steam again

If I already own SEHS and Spirit of Steam and I'm meant to be getting free updates for those with purchase of TSW3, which pack do I buy without having to buy the German and American packs separately or the pack that includes Spirit of Steam or are you going to put a pack out with just the American and German routes in it?

 

If It helps, I have TSW2 on PS5 and PS4, and I have only ever paid once for anything. The PS5 is at home, and the PS4 is at our caravan near the coast. Have bought DLC in both locations, and always had the option to download to the other location upon my return. You just have to go to the store and find it. Shows as purchased so you just click download. On the PS5, you will get the option to install either the PS4 or PS5 version. I am presuming all of this will continue the same.

If you want to buy a TSW3 pack that contains only new German and new American routes, then you want to buy non-existing pack. You can select Standard, but then you'll be paying second time for SEHS.

This is repeatedly being asked in all sections of the forums.
At the minute, the options are what they are. There is no pack (yet), with just the American and German routes in. Something which I would like as well.
If you must order the game now, your best option (currently), is to purchase the standard version. Your SoS will get updates to the TSW3 version, as will SEHS. This then opens the debate as to whether the SEHS update is actually free to existing owners.
Only you can decide if the value is worth it.

Personally, I am going to wait.

 

Well, in Standard, Deluxe and, obviously, UK Starter packs it is not, as it is included in that packs.

That is only if you have the PS5?
I have PS4 so I do not want the PS5 installed too, due to disk space issue.
As it is not the only game installed there.

 

It will only install what you choose to download from the store.
You cannot install the PS5 version on PS4.
