In the video today they said that your currently owned DLC will immediately be available on TSW3. Love that!
My question is about the new features advertised today, the weather, the clouds, the sparks, etc.
Will those features also be available for the TSW2 DLCs, or will there be a wait time for an upgrade?

In the stream when it was addressed there was some text on the screen that said "Preserved collection content won't run new weather, lighting or gameplay features."

Would be nice to know if DTG plan to change/update older content to work with it. Seems pointless otherwise, like why not just keep TSW2 installed and load that if you want to play the preserved collection? Unless there is some radical improvement to the UI.

Stated by DTG Alex on Discord:

Preserved Routes that are on TSW3 will get the dynamic weather (lightning, thunder, rain splashing effects).

The volumetric skies and new updated lighting is only on the TSW3 Launch routes (SEHS, Cajon Pass and Kassel) and also on Spirit of Steam.

I asked about backporting these features and it doesnt seem to be planned currently.

How the dynamic weather is going to look with the new skybox and the old one without volumetric sky?
    Oh boy...

Not everyone has room for multiple copies of TSW on their drives.
