I’m suggesting to DTG that a NYC subway route instead of Cajon Pass would’ve been a selling point for TSW3. That’s all.
Apparently some people enjoy those routes. (I know, psychopaths) But I completely agree with you something like that or even a mixed route like a part of the zephyr would be better than Cajon.
I absolutely agree with you. I'm sick of these freight US routes, really. I don't understand why they don't wanna add US passenger routes instead of these awfully-long and boring routes... And I think it's best not to talk about the fact that they are always releasing routes from the same three countries over and over (DE, UK and US). I'm really tired of this developer and I don't even think I'll buy another TSW that could have just been an update to TSW2 since they didn't even use UE5.
Maybe DTG doesn't have the appropriate licensing with the rail operator to do anything else in the USA at this time? I don't really know, but I am also not a fan of these slow freight services and I do not play them.
No, they do. They have proven it, they just want copy and paste for US giving the most neglect to them
I enjoy chilling with long freight runs, and Cajon Pass will probably be the main selling point for me. Different strokes....
The last route before Cajon was The Harlem Line in New York, before that Sherman Hill, before that Boston Sprinter, before that Clinchfield (HSC and CC dont count those are 3rd party) So they are currently on a cycle between Freight and Passenger Routes.
So excited to see Cajon in TSW3. I would probably buy the game just for BNSF Cajon Pass. The main loco for heavy freights is a BNSF ES44C4, by the way (I looked it up). That's cool, but I was still hoping for an ET44C4. A GP60(M-3) and Amtrak P42DC would be great to see on Cajon. Too bad the Amtrak SW Chief arrives in Barstow in the early morning when it's still dark.
Im gonna be honest here, another fully freight route to TSW is just another insult at this point to the American community and its only influencing a very common Sterotype Among American Railfans
I'm one of those crazy people who like big slow us fright routes. (not a real big fan of frequently stopping trains) so what I thought would have been a better idea is an intercity line with commuter, intercity and freight trains. Surely something like this exists in the US somewhere.
And how is this stereotypical, you do know that the US have more freight services than any other countries right. That is something that can't be avoided.
I'm having no problem at all about American Freight Stuff. There are always group of people who prefer heavy freight stuff
Actually, Cajon is not that slow. There are slow sections, particularly when steeply descending the mountain, but faster sections when on the flat or picking up speed ahead of the ascent. As MP said, " it's not all plodding along at 25 mph " ( paraphrased ).
