Well, because I thought that for this route there might come a few questions, I thought it would be easier to find informations for this route if there is only one thread for it.
So here you can start to put down all the questions for this promising route!

    Mine would be the following:
-Did Mike (TSG) work with DTG on the ICE1?
-Has the Br185.2 been improved to the standard of the Br185.5?
-Will the Br185.5 and Br182 sub in later?
-Did Joe work on the timetable here?
-Will the Br101 get an layer as it runs there in reality?

    Thanks!

    Okok, I’ll try my best:
    Schnellfahrstrecke (High speed line):
Sh (like in shower) nellfahr shtrekke (again like in shower): Shnellfahrshtrekke

Kassel: Kassel (I think there is no way to pronounce that wrong XD)

Würzburg: (First of all I don’t have any word that comes close to this “ü”, the only thing is the famous “siuuuu” from Ronaldo here XD)
    Wiuu (from siuuu)rzburkk

    Shnellfahrshtrekke Kassel-Wiuurzburkk

It’s very hard to explain it, the best way is to type it into google translate and let this machine pronounce it :/

I’ve been looking on Google maps and the route length is quite incredible. Looking forward to having a nice burn-up along there.

You get a taste on the Lgv but this considerably longer.

Basically- just don’t pronounce the ‘t’.

It’s ‘ka’ as in ‘cat’, not ‘ca’ as in ‘car’.

Do we know how many stops will be on this route? (For the ICE services?)

    There are three:
    Würzburg-Fulda-Kassel Wilhelmshöhe
Fulda is almost the exact middle

It’s not 100% sure whether also Kassel Hbf is included, because the freight yard is directly in front of it. I don’t think so actually, because first of all the ICE don’t stop there anymore, and we don’t have any regional trains which come with the route

Yes, but remember, to English speakers W is pronounced "Wuh;" The German W is "Vuh"

Another Question is this is the Route Future Proofed to add ÖBB Nightjet services with the improved 182 cousin the 1016 1116 on Fulda Kassel section the Hans Albers while 424 425 420/421 Aachen Duisburg Düsseldorf playable Würzburg Lohr section. Otherwise the Fulda Kassel section is dead because during the late nights 185.2 will simply dominate that part of the line.

I would venture no. Layers are built into routes when they are created, which means that older routes necessarily don't have layers built into them for trains that didn't exist when they were made. In one or two cases, the Preservation Crew have reworked old routes and added layers to them, but that isn't the case wrt the German routes aside from SKA and of course not the ICE1.

Note that this is not the same as substitution; we probably will be able to use the ICE1 on ICE3 services.

I'm wondering whether the old originals, especially SKA, are included in TSW3 again?

Nope, they are most likely going to be sold as separate DLCs, if you own TSW2 they probably will carry over without you having to buy them again

I doubt they’d include them for free if you don’t already own TSW2.

Might be a similar situation with the preserved collection, where it was cheaper to buy TSW1 and just move them for free to TSW2.
If you start on TSW3 then I assume you’ll be able to get TSW2 for a decent discount on sale and port the three routes over.

TSW2 is currently 18 eur / 20 usd, if you're willing to wait for a really good sale, probably somewhere between 5-7$ is what you'd get it for.

Wait, who pronounces Castle with a T? Because I've yet to meet that person.

Haha it’s true. No one pronounces the ‘T’.

However, depending on where you come from, the presence or lack of the ‘T’ will determine how you pronounce the sound of the ‘Ca’ at the start.
Depending on your dialect it can change the whole structure of the word.

This is what the roadmap-article says:
"It also features some BR101 services, which lets you take the loco to full speed for over an hour and the Nightjet services, which interweave with the freight at night, forcing a lot of freight trains to wait in a siding for them to pass."

I am super excited what they mean with Nightjet. It would be awesome to see the ÖBB Nightjet in the game.
Im definitely going to ask about this statement in the stream today.

It Runs Hauptstrecke München Augsburg the 22:50 München Hbf to Augsburg Hbf 23:20 06:30 Augsburg Hbf 07:30 München. It overtakes the 146.2 from Augsburg Hbf to München Hbf in both ways.

I assume they’ll just use the normal IC coaches that come with the DLC and run them in the Nightjet paths to represent it. I’d be very happy to be proved wrong however.

They’ve done it before: the Travelling Post Office trains on NTP just use Mk1 brake coaches which is wrong and they use the wrong ICE on rapid transit.

It is definitely better than nothing though.

After learning today that Joe and Lukas have been working on this route, I have no doubt of its quality and that we are going to have a lot of fun with it.

I noticed in the launch video this coach is included with the BR401, which looks super cool, but I have some questions:

    1. Is this included in every consist in normal service? Or would there be trains without it/any restaurant car?
    2. Will there be options to diagram the train in the scenario planner without it?
    3. When travelling inside the train, what exactly does the interior look like, are those windows on the ceiling?
    4. Bonus for anyone with knowledge on this particular carriage: Why did they design it like this? Why did it need to be taller than the other coaches?

    1. Yup. This train is always travelling with the restaurant car.
    2.I doubt it
    3. It looks awesome! Just look up “restaurant car ICE1” and you’ll find it; imo the coolest restaurant car existing
    4. No clue, I would guess for the appearance, as an 12 car ICE which is one height wouldn’t look as cool as it does with this hill

The inclusion of the DB BR 101 makes the route even more appealing. Should be fun taking her out for a long stretch.

I agree and for the train formation DB BR101 runs the train from Nurnberg Hbf Wurzburg Kassel the last parts are Ddm 915 Sekqrs Innsbruck Hbf to Hamburg Altona which is behind the EN490/491 Hans Albers Wien Hbf to Hamburg Altona Seating carriage OBB Intercity Bmz 73. Between Wurzburg and Kassel it takes the Main Spessart Bahn to Aschaffenburg from Lohr connector Line where it arrives at Asschaffenburg at 03:10 then Fulda at 04:10 Kassel around 04:50. Question is this will DTG make the ddm 915 or slap the Laaers 560 on this set to save time and development?
Routing of the train Between Wurzburg and Kassel via Main Spessart Bahn This service runs on HMA 22:50 Munchen 23:23 Augsburg

Even though they're more modular than proper EMUs, ICE 1 trains usually operate as a fixed consist. That means 12 cars (4x first class, dining car, 7x second class) plus 2 power cars, the type of cars and their position in the unit is generally the same for each train. However, they are currently going through their second redesign/overhaul to extend their operational life to 40 years, which includes shortening the consists to 9 cars (3x first class, dining car, 5x second class).

Apparently it was intended as a design choice to further differentiate the dining car from the rest of the train but it turned out they also needed that extra space to store technical equipment for the kitchen. And yes, those windows are part of the interior, along with the additional ceiling height of course. ;)

    So……

we’re told freight runs at night, has to pull in for ICE to pass.
    186km / 80kmh…..that’s some decent length runs.

I really hope all the achievements aren’t slogging out the miles

If doing the achievement makes the experience less fun, should you be doing it?

Personally I can’t wait for this line, decent speeds combined with huge length is a dream come true for TSW, especially considering the mixed in passenger traffic and lack of empty landscape. The exact opposite (and my main gripe) with US freight.

    Hi guys,
Bumping it up as TSW2 DLCs and routes are now available in TSW3 - could someone please tell me how many services are available on SKW for DB BR 101?
