Well regardless of alot of the disappointment I've seen regarding price and just the update itself. If you do buy tsw3 for 8th gen consoles, will it actually run or are we gonna have another rush hour saga. Because all the new weather sounds great but if it crashes halfway through a service you'll be seeing the main menu more than the game.
We're doing testing on all 8th-gen consoles throughout the process. It may be that, as with routes like Spirit of Steam, there are some differences in experience (AI traffic, graphical changes, lower FPS), but the aim is to ensure the game is as enjoyable as possible from Day 1 on all consoles. We'll let players know in advance if there are any differences Gen8 players can expect with the new routes.
I think if tsw3 runs on 8th gen as sos did there's never going to be technical problems. So if things in the new dlc needs to be toned down slightly like render distance and the amount of freight in yards etc I'm fine with that. As long as the dynamic weather and fancy lighting is on ps4 I'll probably be heading to buy it quicker than I was going to. Also not sure what the preview streams are going to be run on but if we could see at least one stream on ps4/xbox one that be great.
