He's been a pretty constant presence on the forum since the stream yesterday, offering what input he can, even repeating answers to repeated questions. Thanks for your efforts, JD!
Yeah I feel bad for the devs because I don't reckon it's directly their decision for tsw3. It's more management
I believe it's been said that he is physically away today... but will be back. Till then... cheers to JD!
Jd is definitely owning it now, really good to see. I think he’s leak was intentional but I’ve really enjoyed this marketing campaign. Nice work all
I'm thinking that dropping your brand new community guy into this kind of onslaught is a good way to end up having to find a new one. JD has the experience, and everyone knows him, so Alex can watch and absorb and step in where he's comfortable.
I would like to add my thanks. In the last few days and especially in the last few hours he has made a great effort to resolve doubts, he is doing a fantastic job. JD in a short time has won the affection of the community. He has his own style, friendly and with a very nice and conciliatory character, since he has been in DTG I have never seen a bad word or attitude from him. He's a guy who fosters a good atmosphere here on the forum, and I'm sure within his company as well. And you can tell he has a good feeling with Matt! Good communicator and a better leaker
While there is always room for improvement and mistakes will be made I'll second the OP! JD and all of the others do a great job and I appreciate the effort you guys all put in!
Seeing him grow as a community representative (if that's the right way of putting it) since nat switched roles has been a blessing. Keep it up JD!
I hope I don’t sound cheeky here but when sam stepped back I just didn’t gel. When Jd then took over he was way too polite with the community. Now I really like him as he dishes out some grief now and seems more comfortable challenging people. I’ve given positive feedback a few times. Respect has been earned
I want to say that JD is an absolute treasure. he is not only the leading Community Manager for Dovetail he is making us feel supported
Totally agree but I do miss Sam though. He would say it as he saw it and I always felt he spoke for us rather than towing the company line.
Yes, I miss him too! I think the best moment here on the forums was when he took over temporarily as CM, after Dimitri's departure. Sam is like "one of us", and the interaction he had with the community during that time felt close and direct. I also liked the videos he made with Matt, sometimes putting him on the spot. Maybe that's why they preferred to put someone with a more friendly profile with the company, I don't know. By the way, does anyone know what role Sam has now in DTG?
I'm sure I've read/heard somewhere on this forum or on stream he's a fellow Evertonian? good lad if true and I feel his pain.
Also a huge shoutout to Alex, who was answering countless questions in the Discord when the game was revealed! Helped clear up lots of unclarities.
I‘ll jump on this bandwagon and add my appreciation of JD. I was sceptical of both Nat and JD when they first joined but both of them changed my mind. I like that JD is developing his own character such as with the mystery door and doesn’t mind making fun of himself especially given the leak incident. I also miss Sam and do look forward to his streams. But he is quite a special character and not your typical CM! At least Sam‘s alter ego can be found elsewhere on YouTube.
