I've been observing the Portsmouth Direct Line route add-on, and I've been noticing a lack of suitable rolling stock from the SR era. So I made this thread to tell you my ideas of suitable rolling stock not just from the SR era, but also the pre-grouping era. Fortunately, the M7 Class 0-4-4T, 415 Class 4-4-2T, A12 Class 0-4-2, T3 Class 4-4-0 and T9 Class 4-4-0 are available from Caledonia Works (https://caledoniaworks.com/). But I'm thinking we deserve MORE. Falcon Class 2-4-0 0298 Class 2-4-0WT 380 Class 4-4-0 445 Class 4-4-0 T1 Class 0-4-4T 02 Class 0-4-4T X2 Class 4-4-0 S11 Class 4-4-0 F13 Class 4-6-0 T14 Class 4-6-0 D15 Class 4-4-0
The LSWR Railway ceased to exist in 1923 when it became part of the Southern Railway. And the line to Portsmouth was electrified in 1937. The two era's don't work.
Digital Traction have an Adams Radial tank & an M7. SteamSoundsSupreme have a free, steam era Southampton-Weymouth route.
I would love to see an Adams loco pack, containing an O2, A12 and T3. Potentially with appropriate coaching stock. I suspect they wouldn't be done as a three-pack though. Out of those I think the O2 would be a nice one to see done as a proper payware pack (I know there's a freeware IOW version available) by the likes of Victory Works, Caledonia Works and Digital Traction. A pack including Mainland and IOW versions, as well as Push--Pull variants. Even more glorious would be the inclusion of an ex-LSWR 'Gate Stock' Push-Pull set.
