On here it tells us about snow improvements , yet it seems like there is no improvements to how snow looks on trains itself, it's the worst thing about driving in snow every time I look at trains in snow it's awful , like really bad this game prides itself on realism but have failed to make snow look like snow on the trains lol it's literally a spray paint effect and looks stupid and looks like it was made in the 90s , seriously more effort needs to be put into that feature games that r 12 years old look a million times more better then a stupid spray paint effect as snow needs 3d snow on there , simple

Cam phone piccie from last nights stream. Coming out of St Pancakes to the bottom left.
Not only have they uncovered other lines on the map (which I really wish they never hide them in the first place). But you do see AI services on some of them. Also of note in the Big 40 minute reveal video with Matt & JD there was a pic of a class 66 on cement tanks (GWE) outside of St Pancakes. This was when they were talking about the SEHS extension segment. Although the pic did say work in progress and Joethefish is known for putting AI freight in the mix. So we can only hope once we have all our routes installed at to what a Joe & James tabled SEHS looks like. Personally I think I can say I am looking forward to it.

Thought it was very interesting that there are what appear to be 5 car multiple units on the lines out of King's Cross - possible 'accidental' leak for Class 80x future DLC if they've been layered in already? I can't find anything currently extant in-game that would fit.

I think James and Joe have a lot up their sleeves for the SEHS stream.

    Also, big 'St Pancakes' fan.

I agree it looks a bit daft.

Is that the Eric Gill that did the statues on the BBC?

Now I am unsure if anyone has brought this up yet, if so sorry for repeating it. Thanks in advance!

I've got a pretty keen eye, and after reading I thought of something.
Those of you who know me, will know that I worked with the MTA here in NYC and I (and a huge number of others) have been long requesting that a NYC Subway DLC to come to the TSW franchise as a whole.

This roadmap might have shed some light to that possibly coming to TSW 3!!!
    Read This!!!
Take a look halfway down the roadmap and you'll notice this paragraph in the How Was This Route Developed in the "Training Center" section
    - "The route also gave the team a chance to expand on technology developed during other projects that you may have seen such as the rats running around under New York, the signal box over the tracks at Finnentrop and the fireworks display above…. Oh wait, some of our projects haven’t been released yet!"
It was noted that these "Rats under New York" was possibly not released yet - maybe hinting a NYC Subway DLC it the future.

Think about it! What city is famous for rats under it - New York City!!! and it's famous Subway System. Have we seen rats yet in TSW yes, but not really. We saw this in the Harlem line as an unlockable stationary old baggage car reward after you complete mastery level 2. But this time it's different possibly because of that key last sentence - "Oh wait, some of our projects haven’t been released yet!". Why include that unless something is in the works and it's a teaser/hint for a future NYC Subway DLC. It's pretty promising stuff.

Just something I though was worth mentioning if it hasn't been already. Please be respectful of your peers, respond with questions if it's necessary and try to avoid very negative comments. Thank You!!!

I just thought it was mentioning some of the unreleased dovetail live goodies that you can unlock by playing certain routes... Rats for Long Island, Signaling house for Ruhr Sieg Nord, and the firework over Marseille at the LGV

That would be cool. There are mice on the London Underground as well. Hopefully we will get some more LU in TSW3/4.

Or potentially an Adelante, which would make sense both on SEHS in the present time as a layer and as a DLC for GWE, seeing as it's set around 2015, when some Adelantes still ran on the GWML. Seems unlikely however as DTG would have to negotiate using the FGW brand.

Are there any other five car units in TSW? I can't think of any British ones.

I can’t see anything like that on the screenshot above. Do you have a link to a screenshot or video where that illusive 5-car unit can be seen?

Hey JD, I've been skimming through the roadmap livestreams (and fully reading the blog posts, of course) for quite some time now and I've noticed that not a lot of details for either of the two [Huge] preservation updates just haven't been made known. Is this intentional? Peninsula Corridor has been one of my favorite routes in the game and I purchased CN Oakville just because of the update announcement.

Can you shed a little light on what exactly [Huge] entails?

Check out the roadmap stream, JD has now timestamped it.

It’s the SEHS map that is right at the end of the stream.

I think at this moment you can just assume the save game feature will be back in TSW4...

I think I can confidently predict that when the save game feature reappears it will first be enabled for TSW3 routes. Some of the TSW2 routes may also be enabled at a later point but not necessarily all.

Actually, if DTG added the BR 407 (Velaro D), there would be an ICE 3 with TVM capacity

    Ok for the third time.

There is no ICE 3 in TSW that is equipped to run under TVM.

The TGV is the most suitable option, in game, for what DTG are trying to achieve.

I think "the fireworks display above" (Marseille), was mentioned in a roadmap months ago. It is part of the Tier2 Mastery rewards for LGV and is intended to represent the French national holiday, together with a formation of Alpha Jets, painting the French flag in the sky.

But the idea of a New York Subway route sounds promising (not only because of the rats, makes me wonder why London is rat-free?). ;)
A large part also runs above ground, as with BKL. There are 28 lines and a total of 380km of route. Picking out the most interesting one is certainly not an easy task...

Just pinching this screenshot from another user in the PC forum, but below the easternmost train visible appears to be a 5 car MU.

It's (slightly) clearer if you go to the last bookmark of the roadmap stream (wish it was in 1080p rather than 720p).

Trains on the ECML is very elusive as well, also a 4 car MU on the Thameslink line? Not sure what train would be covering for that

Could be a single 387, if it was a Great Northern service. However these units typically operate in 8 car configurations on the route. I've never seen a 4 coach 387 on the line, however I suppose it could happen if there were unit shortages.

If the new SEHS timetable is the 2019 one, then a few 365s were still around on the ECML so that's another option.

The comment is not necessary as I have already explained this in my post as follows...

"Have we seen rats yet in TSW yes, but not really. It's pretty promising stuff."

The highlighted sentence in red explains exactly what you replied.

I'm not sure which I'd rather see first- rats or interactive on-board toilets.

By what I have seen said about Chatham both on the TV and a youtuber who has done a couple of videos for DTG that I would include them as well. Apparently it is a deprived area and a bit of a dump.

That was almost certainly a reference to the fireworks display that was mentioned, not the rats.

On the extended SEHS do you guys know if temple mills depot will be implemented? I'm not english fluent but correct if i'm wrong, I hear that may be we got some Eurostar like service and this depot would bring interesting service patterns I think.

It won't. And there is no Eurostar. Allegedly there is a couple of TGV services between St. Pancras and Ashford using the TGV from the french route.

Station cats can be found on TSC. I recall one, I think, at Haltwhistle on a 3rd party route from long, long ago. Black, too. The poor thing must have passed on by now.

Skinning an ICE3 in the form of a Eurostar e320 paint would make more sense even as an AI than doing a TGV Duplex stupid.
The best solution was to add just the BR 407 / e320 as a DLC to the German, English and French routes, these trains are very similar. One DLC, two skins and so many routes to use.

I think DTG would do a poor job making a NYC subway route. I don't think it's worth it
