Hi, just watched the roadmap stream and was shocked to hear the performance of TSW3 will be "roughly the same" as the terrible TSW2 performance. Stutters, overworking your system even in the menu for only "mehh" like graphics for 2022. So still no fully supported DX12 on PC? Still stuck with DX11? Still stuttering and badly optimized performance will badly optimized objects in the gameworld killing the performance? I had hopes that TSW3 would finally optimize the graphics so that at least TSW runs not worse then all other UE4 games i have played up until now. Is there any comment? Maybe there was optimization done? I hop so. Stutters instantly kill the immersion in these kind of games and i dont want TSW3 on medium run worse then MSFS (which has much better graphics, lets face it) runs on ultra...again, just like TSW2.
Stutters do seem to of gotten worst of late. The Volumentric clouds will have an even larger impact on performance so suspect some optimization work has been done here but not expecting much else with the massive increase in recommended specs.
Would like to here something official on the performance we can expect... Still 2018 graphics which for some strange reason demand more from modern hardware then current AAA games and MSFS?
I remember a little while ago when people were asking for the sound system to be fixed, someone from DTG finally said that they might have to get in a professional sound engineer to look at the problem (never heard if this has been done, recent DLC's still have bad sound issues) Maybe they need to get in a few people who are game optimization specialists (it's not like DTG are a tiny company that only has a few grand in the bank... they have multiple millions, making a 60+% profit last year i read) But they need to employ some people who's only job is to find all the bottlenecks and fix them once and for all, We all deserve a game that runs a lot better than it does atm on our computers/consoles... and not need multiple thousand pound (£) high end gaming rigs to play.... which still get all the stutters, pauses and glitches you see in the livestreams from DTG. Another issue is that the GPU is run maxed out all the time when playing TSW, so you have a ~250+ watt heater blowing hot air into your room... just what you want now it's summer. even the PS5 does this... when i start up TSW2 it's fans immediately ramp upto max and stay there blasting heat into the room (maybe i should get the SOS DLC, and the heat can be classed as extra immersion.... from the firebox of a steam loco) i've been playing watchdog's legion on the ps5 lately, and i can hardly hear the fans running... and i've been playing that for 8 hours at a time, and not once have the fans ramped up.
Thats most likely because of the buggy TSW2 menu that pushes you GPU to 100% for no reason at all. Even the menu is broken in TSW2...lol
