Just a question if anyone knows yet. Will the Southeastern highspeed route extended have GSMR on the trains?
Nothing was mentioned about GSMR on the announcement video, I'd assume the answer is no unless DTG come out and say otherwise.
No, it’s not working in the normal sense. It’s just a screen decal making it look active and you can turn it in or off. Which to be fair is a nice touch.
As far as I know no GSMR on any train outside of Train Simulator Classic & even then it's the 3rd party guys who do this & not DTG.
I’m not really bothered if it works but it’s strange that it’s never even modelled in the cabs. It’s quite a distinct feature, especially at night with the buttons that light up. No train is allowed to run on the uk national rail network without one.
It would be nice if it at least lit up/did a small start up beep or 2! Even in TSC the GSMR simulation only goes as far as registering your headcode & you can say stood at signal, on the Justtrains Voyage you can do a test call on the old NRN radio.
The inclusion of working GSMR would add a little bit more of immersion into TSW for UK based locomotives and EMU's and DMU's. The only working GSMR is on the 313 but its limited by On / Off , Brightness up and down and contact signaller. It would be nice if we had the option to input the current signal id and headcode of our train if known. Hentis
Maybe DTG could bought it from Armstrong Powerhouse? They've developed it for it's Class 314/315 implementation (link will direct you to it's manual, if someone is interested how AP has done that): https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiN__S1vMv5AhVQi_0HHT32ANUQFnoECAgQAQ&url=https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/free_download/manuals/APC314-315_Manual.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0-FjL1s_4Jj0TZsgcfo1d3
