South end of the route is S6 Rhein Main S-Bahn Main Weser Bahn. Interestingly the test track has off the rails mode on that can be useful if you have Different rolling that use a different signaling system like Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem Utrecht ICNG 1.5kv DC if made or the DB BR189

Amazing! Looks like they’ve added some platforms/stations to the test route, which I suggested last week. Some test tracks around the world allow visitors to board the trains, so this is definitely a welcome addition. Will also help us get our stop timing right with all kinds of different trains.

Want to use this opportunity to point out an overlooked detail about Kassel-Würzburg (unlees you read the Q&A on the support site and that is the fact that it's coming with a brand new freight wagon, the Kijls. The first images for which were shown in this new articles (as one of the unpainted pieces of rolling stock on the livery designer selection page).
    kiljs wagon.JPG
Hopefully on Thursday, we will find out just want it looks like in game and what livery it's coming in.

The 612 is such an excellent loco In TSW. Driving it is a great experience and it would be a shame not to include it in future German diesel routes.

    My thoughts on Niddertalbahn:

It's just 19 miles long, but with a top speed of 50mph it would take more than 3 seconds to run it. Depending on when it's set, we could see class 218 with doppelstockwagen, class 245 with doppelstockwagen, class 628 etc.
    So quite exciting.

DTG's video editor needs to hold back on the excessive use of flashing images. Not necessary and only makes it harder to watch.

Is this a new feature? I've been missing it while waiting on platforms.

It would be a real disappointment if this route doesn't include accurate rolling stock and just substitutes in whatever DTG have lying around. Yes, the 612 is a neat train, but IRL you won't see one on the Niddertalbahn. It ought to be 245s (diesel TRAXX) with <sigh> Dostos.

Im sure Maik Goltz (TSG) has talked about working on the 218 after 232, so I wouldn’t expect to see it with this route

I wonder if Niddertalbahn is by a 3rd party - Seems strange that DTG makes a big fuss about the length of TSW3 start routes then soon after release one of the shortest routes its ever made.

AIUI, if 218s still run there at all, it's only as backup in case a 245 breaks down.

Honestly it looks like a pretty lame route if you ask me. Nothing much to it in any respect. Short and dull. A 19 mile branch line. Trainz gave it away for free...

    Onto the video:

"It feels like a very different game to Train Sim World 2" Really? How?

Your aren’t far off. It is used in many companies to stir up excitement and start discussions. It wouldn’t surprise me if DTG are trying it too.

A company is the only ship that leaks from the top!

So is Journey Mode being reworked for TSW 3 routes while TSW 2 routes Journey Mode chapters remain the same? TrainSim-Matt

According to the latest article, the 3 core route from TSW2 would be sold separately for the new user. My question is, does that applies to current TSW2 owner or not? Do we need to buy the 3 core route from TSW2 again? Thanks.

no, if you already own TSW2 you will not need to purchase again SKA SPG or BKL, they will be available to download sometime after launch as currently planned for free who own them

It’s just like any other dlc they have mentioned, they have stated no exemptions to this for any route thus far I’m aware off

your store will recognise your ownership of TSW2 and make available those 3 routes (general Xbox background stuff)

those who haven’t got them, but as those who own TSW2 they have already purchased them

It’s probably a similar system to rush hour season pass and then when the routes got separated

edit: from what that article seems to be suggesting is that if you never bought TSW2, you will still be able to get the core routes from it but DTG aren’t doing a bundle but like any other add on

the only difference for those who purchased TSW2 and the other add-ons is the TSW2 core routes are going to be delayed due to time required to separate them from the core and place them on the store

I’ve been wrong before but I’d be surprised if tsw2 journey was updated to match tsw3.
That’d be like EA releasing FIFA 23 with x new feature and then going back to FIFA 22 to add that new feature.
That’s just not industry standard at this point. If you want the new feature/s, you generally need to buy the new game.

After the short IOW and Swiss routes I suspect that this may be a Rivet route, especially given that it is clearly in a sufficiently developed state to be present in the menu, when DTG have been developing two and a half lengthy routes plus the core update for the last few months.

On PC/Steam Apps for TSW3 DLCs of the split from the TSW2 core routes will be added into each of the subscription packages that activated TSW2 (hopefully retail packages won't be missed in the packages update, like in some of the cases between TSW2020 & TSW2 transition). I don't know details for other platforms, but it's probably something similar, since preserved routes could be transferred between versions on other platforms for previous owners, too.

DTG are very confusing on their flashing images policy. They pull Lightning from Rivet's recent IOW saying there was no toggle for it and might trigger people then they seem to use flashing images to excess if they are doing it. Did it have a toggle?

[REMOVED - Alex - WIldy inappropriate content]

Me too but I think they still need to be pointed out just incase some missed them.

Not impressed with the TSW3 announcement but I have to give good points on the video presentations surrounding the TSW3 release. I like this new approach. It's for the first time I realise DTG is actually a game studio. ;)

Same here and thought the presentation was a bit of fun but don't think it was their idea. Bethesda have been doing this sort of thing for years, I remember the fallout ones they did.
