I can't take the angst, and vitriolic, uninformed pish anymore. Try to answer questions but get trolling in response. Please tell me how I delete my forum account, or do it for me. I am buying TSW3 but hate this stuff.
I've taken a step back since TSW3 was announced and I am having a lot more fun in the unofficial Discord. Honestly can't understand how the TSW3 update had managed to upset so much so many people The amount of level headed criticism has been very low sadly... Anyway, back to topic, not sure if you can delete your forum account without deleting your DTL account. I'll take a look and see if I find a way to do it and report back
My advice would be to keep your account so you can still read the things DTG post here and then just ignore everything else and don’t post anything yourself. This will also give you the chance to join in again if you change your mind.
+1 for keeping your account and just going inactive. There's literally no difference compared to deletion and you can come back if you ever wanted to.
Deleting your forum account cuts you off from a lot of useful information, as well as well thought out reviews and answers to vexing questions about the game. You've been on the forum for several years. You probably know which members are worth reading by now and DTG postings are easy to spot. I agree with you about the abusive and vitriolic content. If there were buttons to filter that stuff out, I'd be using them myself. As it is, I make use of the ignore list and I disabled signatures a long time ago. Many of them are just plain tiresome and too self referenced.

Oh wow I had no idea this could be done! Thank you. Saves seeing that orange TGV all the time or people who think DTG will change the game because they wrote a signature saying they won't buy it anymore.
I've noticed a shift in tone in the forums recently too. It feels like the TSC Discord server in here at the moment, way too much negativity going about and a lot of it is just unnecessary nit picking at DTG. I mostly lurk here now, reading any announcements DTG make. Once TSW3 launches and everyone gets it all out of their system, hopefully things will go back to normal around here. Can highly recommend the Discord server Jasonpfc has linked to, it's a friendly and very relaxed community!

Why all the attention seeking drama about wanting your account deleting? Just leave if you don't like it or DM JD or Sam directly. Smacks of an attention seeking pity party wanting people to beg you to stay !
Threads of this kind never end well. What Longo posted is absolutely correct. Grandstanding of any kind really helps nobody and just makes negativity even more commonplace. There are currently three groups discussing the new game - those who are expecting the worst, those who are imagining the best and those who are waiting to see for themselves. This is the way things always are in the run up to any game release by any company, and without exception it's never as bad as the doom-mongers predict, never as good as the optimists hope and is exactly what the undecideds find it to be. Butting heads with a group who feel differently to yourself is entirely futile. Nothing you say will change their opinion, only the game will do that, at which point you're in the world of subjectivity - you're either happy with it or you're not, and you're never wrong - but neither is anyone else. Locking this here.
